ahhh..an RTS game eh. Now I remember hearing about this game long ago when I was playing the old SW RTS game online...SW Battlegrounds, just before I started playing SWG. I had heard a new Battlegrounds was in the works and I guess this is it. Sheesh, took long enough..its been like over 2 years lol But maybe its just in time to fill the SW void left after SWG hehe

SW Battlegrounds was crap. I am hoping the time they took ironed out a bunch of the probs swarming in that game.

Yeah, I remember when my RA came into my room and started talking about Star Wars games (probably because I was playing SWG). He asked me what the worst SW game of all time was. I told him that I thought it was Yoda's Desktop Adventures, or whatever it was called. He thought it was Battlegrounds. I think that, overall, my guess was the right one, but I've heard nothing but crap about Battlegrounds. This new game, however, looks like it has some potential. Anything to tide the RTS fan inside of me over until Blizzard decides to release StarCraft 2 (which will probably be in 2102).

But the worst Star Wars game ever was Battle for Naboo. Got it free with something. ugh.

SW Battlegrounds was released unbalanced from the get go and playing it online always needed pre-game rules, like banning certain civilizations from being played just to balance the games. Some units sucked so bad that they were never used, like jedi lol. The release of the Clone Wars xpansion pack fixed alot of these problems, if not all of them and added more cool very useful features (if only SWG had followed suit) The community was very small as well and we always ended up playing the same people over and over again. It didnt have thousands of players like other popular RTS games. Of course it was really just Age of Kings in a SW version. If this new Empire at War is the better answer to SW Battlegrounds..then im there
