The release of D&D online is coming soon, pre-orders are already available. Is anyone looking into this MMO, (as I sure the hell am, being a long time D&D fanatic). If we have any interest, I'd like to know, and possibly get Avian in the direction of setting up camp in that MMO. I put notice of our forum and guild in the D&D online forum (and set the tone as an older gamers guild that is relaxed and understands outside conflicts). So we may have some knockers... (another reason I'm interested is my wife is a D&D advocate, and she wants me to get a game rig setup that can handle playing it aside from just my machine!) |

your right, the website actually doesn't pull me either, the characters in the screenies look kinda bland as well, we will see as the release gets closer. But all in all, the character classes and potential of the game look nice. I mean, it's really the D&D that has the hook in me...we'll seee. |

if it's the good old dungeon & dragons we are talkin about, then it may be pretty interesting ![]() |

D&D is sweet. I'm gonna make a decision as release time comes closer, but I'm leaning towards a yes. |

I just tripped over their site (from a link on thottbot). From what I was reading in the early reviews it sounds interesting mostly in the level of detail in the character development. But then again - I had the most amazing vision of what SWG would be also. |

http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/ddo_stormreach/preview/ They are having a couple day preview of it, I am in it, it ends Saturday at midnight. I posted a bit more about what I have seen today in the member forum. |

I played the preview and I think Turbine has done a pretty good job of mimic'ing a PnP game in an online environment, if thats what you like. But I dont think its going to be an immersive MMORPG like Glaxies was or EQ2 and WoW are. |
