Anybody know the best route to get great deals on Disney tickets? I'm looking for 3 or 4 day hopper passes, and would very much like to stumble onto a steal somewhere. We're planning on going Sept 7 - 11.

Unfortunately in my experience, the only good deal is one of the high day park hopper's. Just plan on using them on seperate vacations because unused days never expire. The extra's like admittance to water parks etc are not worth the extra money since with younger kids they will tire out fast and enjoy the pool at the hotel just as much.

Exactly what I had thought. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. :)

I frequent Disney on much occasion, well, since i love only a short 30 min drive from there. I can't think of any deals though, the 3-day park hoppers are decent. How many of you are coming? It's possible, not very likely, but I might find some locals with tickets to give away.

I can give you some tips though, although the parks are great, it's almost impossible to see everything in them on one visit. So I'd really try to plan what you want to see in each of the parks, take it easy and go for those first. Oh, and plan ahead on the rides, many of them have "fastpass", which is basically a ticket you pickup at the entrance to the ride that allows you to come back during a certain time window and get right on. This can keep you from wasting time waiting in long lines on certain rides.

On another note, the hotels outside of the parks are great too, you can pretty much go to any hotel, tell them you are visiting, or eating there, and enjoy some free fun away from the parks. I like to pretend i'm at different hotels and jump from one hotels pool to the next. Plus the different themes to the hotels are pretty neat to go and check out.

Cool! Thanks for the tips! There are 2 adults (my wife and I) and a kid going. We're not going until September, so we've got some time to plan. It would be awesome to get the tickets squared away though.

How old and tall is the child?

(no I am not a pervert... this is an important question  )

The height requirements for every ride are listed on the disney site so you may want to steer clear of stuff the kid wants to go on but can't.

 Yeah, we figured. She's 3 and not real tall, so there's going to be plenty of stuff she can't ride on. That's why the Animal Kingdom will probably be the highlight.

The shows and parades will be fun for her. The Magic kingdom has a lot of stuff for young kids as well. The lower half of Epcot is worth a visit if you have a park hopper pass but not for a whole single day pass. MGM is a no-go until your kid is about 8. The parades are still good but she won't care about most of the rides or shows.
