Who are you watching this week?

I will be watching LSU at Auburn. LSU has been doing very well last two games but this is our first big test... LSU ranked ~6th, Auburn ranked 3rd in the nation. I read somewhere that we were 2 or 3 point underdog. The superstitious odds are against us: early games are always bad for us, and the home team has won most the majority of our battles. It dont help that Auburn is looking good this year!

Hope it is a good game!

/edit here are some bragging stats for those that dont know:

Quote:
Defensively, LSU ranks first in the nation in scoring defense (3.0 points per game) and pass defense efficiency (53.1 rating). The Tigers also rank second in the nation in pass defense (90.0 yards per game) and third in total defense (164.0 yards per game).

Through two games, LSU is the only team in the nation that hasn’t allowed a touchdown. The Tigers carry a string of 14 consecutive quarters without allowing a touchdown into the Auburn game on Saturday.

Offensively, the Tigers rank fourth in the nation and second in the SEC in pass efficiency with a 199.9 rating. In two games, the Tigers have completed 33 of 46 passes for 529 yards, five touchdowns and only one interception.

LSU is second in the league and 12th in the nation in total offense with an average of 465 yards per contest. The Tigers are averaging 200.5 yards rushing per game and 264.5 yards passing a contest.

Individually, LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell is ranked third in the nation in pass efficiency with a 211.4 rating. The junior from Mobile, Ala., has completed 26 of 37 passes for 449 yards, five touchdowns and only one interception.

Cornerback Jonathan Zenon is one of only two defensive players in the nation with two touchdowns to his credit this year. Zenon currently ranks first in the nation in interceptions with three.

Michigan and Notre Dame is going to be my highlighted game of the week. They're both over-rated, but I hope the Irish put a hurtin on the Wolvies, just out of principle.

Speaking of which.....

Heisman Candidate baby. Greatest quarterback in college football right now. Troy Smith is the man.

And how can he NOT be, with THESE two power-houses to play catch with???!

Image

And how could people have ever thought the Buckeye defense might cause them problems when we've got THIS guy?

Image

.. who happens to be the son of THIS guy....

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, your 2006 National Champions....

The only question remaining, is which one of these 3 teams will have their dreams shattered in Arizona in January...

I was gonna head to Athens and watch my Dawgs play .. and I may still do that, but, there are some great games on this weekend that I don't want to miss. Of course LSU and *barf*Burn. I'm pulling for LSU. I'd love to meet LSU in the SEC Championship game again .. and the outcome be the same, again :) lol

ND v/s, who? Ahh .. well, who cares. Hope ND looses.

Florida v/s Tennessee .. I guess I'm pulling for Tennessee. I hate Florida.

ugh we lost, but it was a good game.

I wish we would have passed more during the middle game and not do that same crap run.

One of the best defensive games I have seen in a long time.

Well OU lost but we so got screwed hell even the announcers said we got screwed and half of them don't even like OU. I that instant replay was supposed to correct mistakes not reinforce them.

Yeah that was ridiculous... OU should've won that game. I don't understand when officials decide not to review huge plays like that.

And for the record... I hate Dan Fouts. He is so biased toward the Pac 10, and specifically Oregon. That is not how an announcer is supposed to be. I remember when Michigan played Oregon a few years ago I muted it because I hated listening to him talk about how good Oregon is.

The end of that OU/Oregon game was absolutely horrendous. The officials need to be canned. Two blown HUGE calls, even WITH reviews on the field. It was insane. Anyway, glad Oregon won, but OU got robbed.. bad.

Oh yeah.. and Michigan is still terrible. Notre Dame is just worse.

Buckeyes spanked Cinci though.
