Work has way too many uptight people these days and we're not at year-end (which is an extremely high-volume time for my line of business). I don't think I've heard anyone laugh in my office in over 2 weeks... I look forward to laying waste to things in WOW on Friday (how sad is that). Though Halloween was alot fun with the kids.

sorry to hear....but the question is...are we really supposed to enjoy working? It's work! It's supposed to be labor. Yeah, actually, i'm not enjoying a majority of my work day either...and i'd like to. |

About the same here, just had to tell the big boss here at this location that he is going to have to shell out probably close to $15k for a new UPS system for our server room, his grumpy mood causes everyone else to have grumpy moods. It is really a pain when people around here dont appreciate computer equipment, I barely get enough capital to keep things running here computer wise but they will drop 100k when something needs to be replaced in the Plant without any questions. |

Cord, if you don't on some level enjoy your work, then your days get real long. Best thing in the world is to get paid for what you love doing...can't say I have been there before, but I find things about my work that I like. Daishus, you really need a male avatar... You can tell him the effect of not having a UPS system in place and then leave the decision up to him...just make sure it's documented

Better? I will figure out a different one later. As for the UPS already have talked him into it, part of the reason he is so bitter about it, because he doesnt really have a choice in the matter. Already lost a server hard drive when we burnt out the infuser board on the UPS during a power outage. |
