My brother-in-law is somewhat of a new geek. He's into computer gaming (though he uses a laptop) and lieks the sports genre and WWII type games (Battlefield, Call of Duty). i was thinking of getting him a Nostromo n52 for his birthday, but wondered what other items might be good for a gamer or even just good all-purpose items. I assume he has a flash drive, but throw out any thoughts as you never know. |

I've thought about getting somthing like that, but never have. It looks like it would be a hell of a lot more comfortable and functional than the WSAD Keys. If you do get it, I'd be interested in hearing how it works in practice. |

i think I'll get the http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/85b6/ for the wife. I'll have to look into it, but it's tough to pass up the Nostromo. |

A USB coffee warmer? You'd better be getting her somthing more than that or your coffee isn't the only thing that will be getting cold. ![]() |

Yep, I have the n52 and it is absolutely amazing for FPS and WoW alike. Total of I think 15 keys on the pad, its own directional pad, and a scroll wheel, plus 4 shift modes where the buttons can all be different. If I didn't buy that a year or so ago, I would most definitely love to get it as a xmas gift. |

I have a Nostromo... a little learning curve, but I use it for all the games I play, very comfortable for the hand, and a much easier than WASD for me. |
