You'll need to have access to the RV forums to see that thread, but if you have it, it's probably worth reading.
I basically suggested something that we had tried to come up with for SWG, a way of making low-level crafters useful. I posted a version of that idea on the RV forums for consideration for implementation into RV.
RV, of course, suffers from the same old problem that people have to max out a skill before they can make any decent produce and so the grinding through crafting items to get to that point is an expensive bore.
I put in the thought that you allow low-level crafters to make top quality simple items and reduce the XP benefits of making those items for high-level crafters so that they don't saturate the newbie market.
While the responce from the Devs wasn't definitive (they obviously don't want to promise anything) it looks to become a possible system as a long term goal. Which is seriously cool!
