Ok, I'm back.. hehe
MORE SPOILER AHEAD!!!!!!!!
I swear, I'm not obsessed! Lost is one of the only shows I can't figure out 10 mins into an episode so a lot of their shows keep me coming back since, most the time, they are less than predictable. This finale is especially frustrating...
Bill and I were chatting and he thinks that Jack WAS so out of it, that he would refer to his father as if he was living. That perhaps Jack is seeing his Father's "ghost", like in one of those earlier episodes where he seemed haunted by him. Coupled with his drinking/pill popping.. he would speak about him as if he's living. (I say, no wai

)
I keep coming back to this part of the story. I feel like it's a big clue. Ok, say the Dad wasn't really dead to begin with. That would be lame and I would be forced stop watching. hehe
However, lets assume he really is dead. Then how is he in the future? We can't really say this is a look of what happens when they get off the Island. We also can't say this is some kind of parallel outcome if they get off the Island one way vs another. As if they were meant to stay and learn something before leaving ect.. Either way, it doesn't add up. His Dad is dead before they ever crash.
The only thing I can think is that last night's episode was a flash forward but also, a flash back. In the "future" there are no other charaters mentioned aside from Jack and Kate. So we really have no idea what happened to anyone else. We assume, rightfully so, that the body in the coffin and the "he" that Kate mentions are also suviors but still, we don't know which ones.
Did the call Jack made to the ship set some sort of doomed rescue into motion? Did something go wrong when the "rescuers" came onto the Island? Were they bad guys? Or were people simply left behind. Did Jack somehow learn that it was his decision to call that caused all this bad stuff to happen? Perhaps he will later be told by Locke or Ben, who both seemed to know that the call shouldn't be made. If something was revealed to him, once he got back did his guilt cause him to spiral out of control? And now he can think of no other way to fix things than to try to get back?
Maybe he found a way to go back or WILL find a way (season 4?). And the Island stuff that we're seeing is his second time around or the first still? There is definetly some freaky stuff with the Island. Maybe theres some kind of time warp.. time travel thing going on.
Time travel would explain a few things, come to think of it. Remeber Ben's flashback episode a couple weeks ago. He ran into Richard (the "suit" of the others) in the forest when he was clearly a young teen. Anyone else notice that Richard looks exactly the same? Only difference was his hair is longer in the past. Bill thought the show just did a bad job of trying to make him look younger but, imo that would be a really big oversight for a show this big.
Since Ben was a teen it would have to have been, maybe 20 years ago? But Richard looks exactly the same in current episodes. It couldn't be the Island because people have aged.. Ben, his daughter ect.. But not Richard. Hmm
Ok, I'm done.. thanks for reading all that crap! LOL
