Post subject:  Pirate of the Caribbean: At World's End
I heartily recommend it. Fantastic film despite being almost 3 hours long.

If you haven't seen Pirates 1 or 2, I would suggest that you watch at least Pirates 2 before going to see this or you'll miss half the plot!

The ending of Pirates 2 actually made me so made that I think I will boycott the 3rd movie.

The few reviews I've seen have been quite negative. Mind you I've also seen pretty mediocre reviews for Shrek 3 and Spider-man 3. They can't all be that bad can they?

It just didn't really end the current movie. It felt more like a commercial break.

Reviewers are elitist jackasses paid to be unfair and sensationalistic in their assessment of whatever movie they're considering. I very, very rarely give a professional reviewer's opinion much credence. Further, when I go to a movie, I'm there to have fun, relax and let my mood or emotions be manipulated a little. I'm not there to be intellectually challenged - my job as well as school give me plenty of mental exercise. :)

I saw PotC III last night and I have to say that in a word, it was a blast! Lots of laughs, some great swordplay, Kiera :) and a bit of naval combat. Go see it - you'll have fun.

I just saw this flick and I was very disappointed. I wasn't expecting much but it let my hopes down. Jack Sparrow was delightful as always but parts of it were just so ridiculous. Know some will disagree with me but I found it very hard to buy attack of the 50 foot woman and a certain person being crowned king of the pirates. I tried to let it slide and just enjoy it. But I could not. My review = 5/10

Keith Richards as Jack Sparrows dad, made the movie for me, why couldn't they give him more to do in the storyline.

Keith Richards IS a pirate :lol:

Other than that standard mindless entertainment, it was good but no where near a great movie.
