Hey guys.

Raise your hand if your childhood memories revolve around late night sessions of NES games.

Check out what I found...

NESticle is an emulator that you can download on your PC and play "ROMs" which are the game files for NES games. I've known about emulation for a while now, but I never found an emulator that I liked, or all that many games to play on them. This site has a TON of games to download, and the emulator to play them on. They also have some emulators for Atari systems and Coleco and a few other not-so-popular systems. Check it out here:

http://www.theoldcomputer.com/Libarary' ... mmary.html

Get NESticle and start playing those old games again! LONG LIVE the NES! I've been playing through the old Dragon Warrior again. lol

EDIT: You'll have to copy and paste the url. I can't get it to link right. Sorry.

good stuff, although c/p'ing the link didnt work for me, so i just went to the homepage.

I could never beat the first ninja turtles game as a kid (not the arcade one, the side scroller) so now I must avenge my 6 year old self...

I still remember that part in the swers where you had to jump this small gap with just barely hitting the jump button else you fall to your doom. Was always smooth sailing until then, and then I usually ended up losing 1-2 team members. Damn good game for its time.

no childhood memories(not old enough for those) but i do have a emulator with 700 games, oddly the gameplay of most of those games is better then that of most of the newer games

Last night I found an emulator for the Sega Genesis system and superNES too. www.romnation.net

When I was a kid, the best Genesis game out there was StarFlight, in my opinion. It is the precursor to games like EVE. check it out, if you have a chance.

No "childhood" memories here for the SNES either... I do have a lot of memories playing mechanical pinball machines and mechanical games like baseball and car racing.

I was 29 when the SNES came out.

Originally, because of poor graphics, they needed the gameplay to be able to sell the games. Also, you couldn't get patches for consoles so there was an extra requirement for the games to come out bug free.

Does anyone know if Herzog Zwei(sp?) is available as an Emulator game?
