A friend of mine sent this to me. Said he ran across it randomly... it's such a great find I had to share it! I laughed really hard. All I can say is I am so thankful I was not around in the 70s... lol

Needs more crushed velvet.

That kid with the vinyl floor edging for a belt is wearing a shirt that looks very familiar :(

Sadly, they did! It was the style!

My husband was born in 1970 and I've seen many old pictures where he's dressed just like that little boy. lol

parachute-pants and jeri curl...they all have something that seems out of place 30 years later (and then some fo them come back around too...like mohawks)

Yep, it all comes back around. If you pay attention, you see it all the time.

When I was a kid my sisters and I used to wear those layered ruffled skirts and jellies! Like everyday.. lol Then when I was in college those skirts came back with a vengeance, much shorter, but basically looked exactly the same! lol

And when I was in junior high babydoll dresses and mary Janes were all the rage. I had like 20 of those dresses. lol I would buy them with my babysitting money. What's funny though is my Mom used to wear them in the early 70s when she was a teen too. And they've come back into style again.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen old pictures of my Mom wearing something that would be in style now or in the last 10 years. Just change the colors a bit and, of course, the hairstyle and you'd never know it was taken 20-30 years ago. lol

Seen that alright.
Though I prefer the business/cool look combined.

My father used to have permanented his hair, and before that it was long and flat.

I had long hair untill August and the only reason I had it cut was because my father gave me money to do it. He hated looking at it...

Personally, the hair thing I don't mind at all, but clothing, conservative please.
