Exciting news! I am moving to the D.C. area in a week, actually going to live in Fairfax which I am familiar with.

But the really cool news is the new job I got. I am now a Tester at this little place in Fairfax known for MMOs and they are currently developing a massive, AAA title.
*cough*http://www.mythicentertainment.com*cough*

Who is still in the D.C. Area? Maybe when I get settled we can have an Avian Con?

I meant I was in the DC, Gathersberg, Rockville, Fairfax area in 99. I worked for an environmental company at that time; we dredged the Dalecarlia Reservoir for the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Anyone of you who can offer a job or an internship to me in two years then?
By then I'll have a Assosiates Degree in Computer Administration.

Got my teacher to find some info on it and this is what I got:

Quote:
IT-Administrator, 2½ years
The IT-Administrator education at Greenland Business College is a further development of the Danish IT-Administrator Education adapted to the Greenlandic business life. The IT-Administrator education is therefore a business-minded IT education offered to students who want to acquire a formal IT education with a practical content at an advanced level.

The education teaches the students skills in how to apply, evaluate and adapt technological tools for business-oriented functions in addition to guide other people in how to use these tools.

The education contains various IT subjects relevant for the business and IT sector combined with traineeship periods in IT companies. During the education, the students have the choice to study or do traineeship periods abroad in either Denmark, the US or Canada.

The education contains the following broad themes - each including various different subjects:
It-support
System administration
Database administration
Web-presentation

There's gotta be need for such a guy in there right?.
After this I'm considering to expand my computer-konwlegde with programming and 3D-artwork.

The best advice I could give Azza is to check out ea's job website http://jobs.ea.com/ and look at internships and whats available. I didn't know anyone at EA when I first applied and everything goes through corporate in LA, so no one will even talk to you about a job until the get the ok from the Head HR person at HQ.

Game companies are always looking for IT guys so just look at the major publishers job websites and apply when you see one that fits you. That's the best I can do right now, since I'm just a peon toiling in the dank pit

Not to worry. Never been good at written sarcasm. Now self irony, that I know! :D

I do have Danish heritage - and I don't mean those cakes that people appearantly are so fond of - and the Danes are know to be one of the cultures who uses irony as humor the most...

Any way I acctually never said this, but gratz on the job :)
