I have quit SoA.

j/k, j/k - did you think I could actually leave this rabble? :P

Seriously, I have gone and gotten married. After weeks of preparation, the big day came and went yesterday without a hitch. We are both very laid back individuals and kinda just let things happen and didn't stress about most things. Ceremony was beautiful, I lost my breath and nearly teared up when I saw Melanie coming down the aisle. She arrived at the front, almost losing it herself. Vows were exchanged without a hiccup, which I was determined that if I were to not screw one thing up the whole day, I wanted it not to be the vows.

Photos, in one word: amazing. Soooo glad we paid the extra money to use a professional photographer and not a hobbyist. We had him from 9am til 11pm (tho he actually stayed til nearly midnight). He and his wife assisting were amazing. Totally creative angles and shots. During the dinner he actually quickyl photoshoped a few pics to get them into a slideshow to play on a screen during the dance. Many were just incredible. Kudos to you Lloyd.

Dinner was faulous, as were the speeches. Her dad's speech had many in the crowd in tears, and I accomplished my goal in my speech to make the matron of honor cry. Heck, mom said I actually had dad asking for a tissue... Awsome. I am a quiet person by nature, and I love shocking many people who think I am not a good public speaker. Again, awsome.

Dance was fun as hell. With the temperature outside at a balmy -35C, we kept it nice and hot inside. Everyone had a great time and I absolutely loved the venue. An old 1970s log cabin style building, perfect for a winter wedding. Did I mention the temperature? Well, we actually went outside for a couple poses and OMG, best photos of the day. Simply amazing.

Sorry for the long post, but I know the Maelstrom boys would want to read the goings on for the day. To finish, we could not have pictured a better day. I know many may say that just in passing when describing their wedding, but for us it was true. Disneyland it wasn't, but our dreams definitely came true.

Once we receive the digitals from the photographer I will try and post a few here.

Angelus, I am so very happy for the both of you. And I'm very glad indeed that your big day turned out so perfect.

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised myself, after meeting you in Orlando, to see how quiet mannered you are and yet you communicate very articulately and intelligently. Your manner presents an air of humility that is very becoming. So I can imagine you standing up and "knockin' em dead," with your speech! Good for you!

Now on to more serious conversation.... Will you have internet connection with you on the honeymoon?

Congratulations! Danyale and I are very happy for you.

Sounds like you had an excellent time! Share some pictures if you can.

Oh, how long before she becomes a gamer?

Congrats, Angelus! I wish you the best of luck!

BTW: be sure to take a laptop for gaming along on the honeymoon - so you can make sure to get her started off right. ;)

Thanks for the well wishes all.

As for taking the laptop to the resort, I would, but unfortunately it is pay internet and quite pricy. Y'all will just have to get along nicely without me for a week.

And she is a partial gamer. Loves the Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Also big into the SSX snowboarding games. Not into RPGs at all which is why she has not joined in on the WoW goodness.

I am here until Thurs morning, then, off to paradise!

Just got back from our honeymoon at 2am yesterday. Punta Cana was hot and the resort gorgeous. Hope to host some pics of the place soon.

Now... back to gaming for a couple days before returning to work and the real world on Monday.

Get all the gaming in that you can now. That special package will probably be arriving in about 9 months. ;)

Then again, I had a Choir director in college who always joked about his ex-wife with his boyfriend...

I think we'll have to shelve the bet for now. I won't be convinced untill there are little Angelus' running around.

And blood tests.

I mean, you can adopt in Canada as long as you can provide 5 Molson pull tabs and proof that you played on the village hockey team in the last 3 years.

That was very funny and almost correct.

It's actually 2 Molson pull tabs, 1 Moosehead, 1 Labatts and 1 Alley Kat.

Also need to prove you have a chesterfield for it to rest on, and a tooque to keep its head warm.
