Revolutionary? No I don't think so. It's different in terms of MMO crafting, as far as I'm aware, but I've certainly seen the system before.

I don't see how it's non-grindy. You can make better stuff at higher levels, which means to me that people will grind to get to that better stuff. So long as the lower level stuff is still as useful as the high level stuff then it may work.

I do like the fact that you can tailor the outcome of a potion to what you want, so if you're only playing for two hours you make the potion only last for to hours and get the benefit of a strong potion in compensation. That, in my opinion, is something that is new.

I'm actually pretty excited about the Warhammer games right now.

I never got into the Miniatures game, mainly due to the cost of building up a decent set, so I never got into the backstory either. However PCGamer had an awesome issue where they talked about the current group of Warhammer games, including Dawn of War II and Warhammer Online, and now I can't wait to get my new computer and pick up some of those games.

Yeah, me neither. From what he said its best to be high level so people are going to grind to that high level. Grinding doesn't have to be boring really. WoW made advancement fun by implementing a lot of in-depth quests so it's certainly possible.
