Three times!!!




(playing Fable 2: Pub Games - hopefully some here are familiar with it)

1. Playing a Fortune's Tower tournament I was down big but snuck into the final table after winning not one, but two, jackpots (quite rare to even get one)

2. Won a huge amount playing Keystone (similar to craps in real life). Bet the max allowed on rolling a 4 with 3 dice. Low odds, but huge payout. Lucky me. Took that tournament too.

3. Won a Spinnerbox tournament by hitting a 4 spinner max jackpot. Think playing slots where you hit 7 across all 4 spinners. 20k gold payout on a small 10g bet.

I shoulda gone to buy a real lottery ticket...

So how is Fable 2? I almost bought an X-box just for that game.

Its not out until Oct 18 or so. These Pub Games were released as downloadable content (cost $10ish) with the idea that you could gamble before release, and whatever gold/items (or incur additional debt) you get now, you start with on release. Kind of a neat idea.

Even neater, is that there was a glitch found so some people cheated and got oodles of gold. Rumor has it that it was either planned or accounted for because those starting with exoborant gold are rumored to have some other kind of side effect against them for having cheated. Hope that is true.

I still have high hopes for Fable 2. Though I read yesterday that online co-op will not be included at release, rather patched in later. Sucks but not a deal killer for me.
