I'm sure the cost is twice as much for half the toast. Now, a toaster with a USB port on it so you can upload any picture to be "toasted" into the bread would be something I could get behind. mmmmmm erotic toast...

Well for starters if the picture is limited to a square form image in complete black and white we're on our way.

The diffuclt part would be how to apply the image on the toast.
A short of pinter technology perhaps. with a heater going a route that match the pictures either white or black area, heating those places up a little bit more than the rest of the area...

I would suggest the solution to this would be to create a toaster with a number of pin-shaped heating elements. You then cause only the pins required by the picture to press into the bread and you'd produce your toast that way. Obviously, it would have a limited resolution, but that's how I would see it working.

Laser etched toast. If they can do a PC case, why not bread?

Oh look, here is a link I found: http://home.insightbb.com/~jmengel4/bread/bread.html

Excellent! I could see this morphing with airbrush artists. Soon we could have toast with wizards holding orbs, unicorns, and family reunion announcements in bubble letters with the "shine" mark on the corners. Patent this!
