My wife and I are expecting our first child! We don't know the sex yet, but we should soon. We're due on August 5th, only 11 days before my birthday and 13 days before my wife's birthday. We're through the first trimester and everything has gone well so far.

She's doing very well and hasn't had any morning sickness besides occasional dizzyness and a touch of the crazy.

I have to admit that I can't stand for the option either...
But your zodiac is leo and knowing leos I have to click there...

August 5?? Same as my moms birthday...
If you hit the 4th I wont mind either. That's my birthday.

Are you saying you DON'T live in a cage? Crod always said you did.

Woot! Fantastic news and despite my vote I think you'll be a fantastic dad. Very, very exciting.

I hope the Mrs continues to feel well.

It's a girl! As of now we like Eowyn Jade (Donnan) for the name.

Many of the people I've told the name to have a hard time wrapping their head around it. What do you guys think?

Sounds good...
If I should ever get a daugther (or children for that matter) her name would be Sara Jade Avi (Witkowsky).
I've always liked Sara. Jade due to Mara Jade and Avi is a common girls name on Greenland.

If we ever have a daughter I was going to highly suggest Jade as a name.

I am also very big on Dante for a boy.

I tried Balthazar, Damian and Henry. All were vetoed. I do like Dante though.

Our boy name is Drake Harrison (Donnan). Drake is my idea, and she likes last names as first and middle names. She wanted Harrison as a first name but I think last names as first names are wierd, and you know people will call him Harry if Harrison is his first name.

So, if the next one is a boy we're set. If it's a girl, I'm pretty much going to let her name her whatever she wants.

Its understandable.

He's just taking the necessary precautions to ensure he always has a 5-man group on-call :P

I'm not going to wait 6 years between my kids... you do the math. 18 years of raising children (at least) form when the last one pops. You are in for at least 24 years, probably more. I'm looking at 21 years with 2 kids, 24 if I start with 2 girls and have to go for three. I'll be 48 when Eowyn graduates high school hopefully 51 when Drake follows her.

You don't need a damn formula for this...it's not that important....

Life...is....Life...

oh, and your forumla is a bit flawed, You seem to think when they turn 18 you don't raise them anymore? I think if you ask my parents...they'd tell you it never stops....

Oh, I'll be actually 42 When Corwin Graduates! 45 when he can legally drink!

Leave your brother and your parents babysitting service out of this! They could say no to both of those issues if they really wanted.

and... you'll be 48 when Cadence graduates and heads off to stripper school. Maybe 49 depending on your birthday.

My formula is not flawed, I plan on sending my kids off to college. Preferably at least 2 or more hours away from home. If I don't they'll never gain their independence.

And, are there really stripper schools? I mean, seriously, I never thought much of being a teacher, but a stripper school would need teachers, right?
