Anyone else interested in Diablo 3? Danyale and I played a ton of Diablo 2 back in the day. I just gave the website another look but the information has not changed much in the past 6 months or so. Any guesses on a release date? |

I am incredibly stoked for D3. I didn't get into the online parts of D2 but thoroughly enjoyed the single player. I keep waiting for new news on the game but as you know Blizzard takes its time with everything. Hopefully something earthshattering comes out of their E3 preparations. At least I think there will be an E3 again this year. As for release, I really hope it is early 2010. I also hope Starcraft 2 is fall/winter 2009 but I don't want to place bets on that. I seem to recall Starcraft 2 being announced before D3 so presume S2 would be released first. An Avian presence in D3 would rock. |

Yeah StarCraft 2 was announced before Diablo 3. I suppose it is logical for them to be released in that order. I was a huge StarCraft fan, I am looking forward to it but not as much as Diablo. Maybe I am naive, but when they announced the Diablo 3 the game footage looked awfully complete to me. We only saw one or two zones, but it looked fairly polished. At that time I got my hopes up that the game could be farther along than anyone assumed. However fast forward to today and not much has changed on the public side of things. Maybe this next thing should be in its own thread..... I will probably need to get a couple new computers for me and Danyale. I think I am going to hold off until Vista’s replacement is released. I wonder what rig will do me well with all these new games on the horizon. |

This is probably a false rumor but it seemed to penetrate deep into a lot of gaming news sites. The rumored beta test date is September 11, 2009 and the release date somewhere before Christmas. Knowing blizzard I wouldn't get my hopes up though. I too am super hyped about this game. |

I just flew home for a couple of weeks and man was I wanting to play some D3 with Danyale like we did back in the good old DII days. The old neighborhood ladies are rubbing off on my wife and she is loosing her leet gamer qualities. I guess that is a side effect of me being away for the last two years. I was so disappointed to see her fill her day with iFarm and uno on her iphone. In a way I guess it is good for me that the game has not released yet. I really do need to buy a couple of new gaming computers. My once glorious rig is pretty embarrassing now, yet I don’t want to drop good money on a computer until I am home for good to really use it. |

Diablo III comes out May 15th. I preordered two copies for myself and my wife. Who else is getting this one? Looking forward to the new features: Gold Auction House, Real Money Auction House, Ability to play your character on any sever. |
