Shortly after July 4th I received a letter from General Petraeus. Today I was going through my files and reread the letter. I figured I should share it with you guys who are interested. See attached.

Good letter. Well written and nicely balanced. I particularly liked the handwritten comment at the end.

Presumably the 4th July was the day the general took over command?
