I bought an android phone (Samsung Infuse) a couple of weeks ago, and I love it. I actually liked the HTC Inspire a little bit better due to its slightly smaller screen and solid feel in my hand, but the Samsung was newer, faster, and had an improved screen.

It smokes my wife’s iphone with external storage, cpu power, and access to phone features, etc. We were able to find every app that my wife is addicted to on the android marketplace. So far I am loving it.

Do any of you have an android? How do you like it? What apps do you recommend?

I've had an android device since the Droid 1 launched. Will never switch. I'm so very happy there is a fantastic alternative to an Apple product.

For apps, Gizmodo keeps a good list of 'Best Apps' updated often.

Also, if you don't have an Amazon account, go get one and install their App Store. They give away a paid app free, every day. They've given away some really awesome stuff so far.

Just got a Droid 2 Global the other day. Since the Droid 3 line is already rolling out I got the phone for free, plus some great accessories that would normally cost over $100, so I'm happy.

#1 app I recommend though is Advanced Task Killer. This is a great way to free up your phone's RAM quickly, since MOST apps don't close and free up RAM when you exit them.

I'm now a authorized retailer for Verizon. I've been doing it for about 3 months now and I love it. I've learned a lot about phones and I can say hands down that Android phones CRUSH iPhones in almost every category. I got my Incredible 2 about 2 months ago and love it.

And for the record.. Yes, task killers are bad. A LOT of the problems I see every day are caused by these "helpful" little apps. lol
