Are any of you looking at The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim? I think it looks pretty sweet. It hits shelves 11 Nov, 2011.

Yep. Got it on pre-order for the 360. Highly looking forward to it.

I wonder if I should get it for PS3 or PC.

I've always thought the PC was the superior medium for games like this. If it wasn't designed for it, though, and is a crappy port, then it is terrible. It is usually hard to fine out, however.

This is my first AAA title where I'm choosing the 360 over the PC. Two factors in that decision are 1) my PC is four years old (new vid card but the rest is untouched) and 2) I've discovered I'm less distracted when playing on the 360. On the PC, I'll check email, pull up a site, get an IM, start something downloading...playing on my PC is and always has been awesome but I'm going to try the 360 first with this title.

For games like this I always go PC. Access to the vast mod databases and user created patches are often necessary for full enjoyment.

Playing on the 360... ended it getting it on the 360 after I heard the controls/game was built around the consoles (though I am sure I will pick it up for the PC someday, I have with the last couple).

What a great game... really is a single player RPG with everything MMOs offer in the way of crafting. Boss fights are cool, different mechanics keep it fresh... and the world is crazy big. And fights with Dragon's feel pretty epic as well.

This.

Facing down these beasts of legend, steel in hand and a roar in my throat, is one of the most thrilling and epic experiences I can recall in a single-player game. I think this sense is heightened by the fact that they're relatively rare.

I spent about 15 minutes last night chasing a dragon around that just wouldn't land and fight me... at first I was trying to get him to land and fight me in a Giant Encampment as I needed some Woolly Mammoth tusks... but at he just wouldn't engage. Fought another Dragon with myself, my companion, a guard that was walking down the road... and a bear that was just in the wrong place at the wrong time!!! Agree with you Rock, very thrilling and a ton of fun... they did an amazing job with the Dragon fights.

Conjure Flame Atronach - it's fireballs will pull a dragon, seems to have the range.

Can you see the names of NPC's befor you attack them? I see people in the world but I dont know who they are untill I attack them or they attack me. I am worried if I kill everything that is moving in the world then I could kill some good NPCs.

Not that I am aware of. Other games have had a key that would pop up item descriptions (easier to find loot that way too) - Skyrim doesn't seem to.

I put this game away because steam was timing out due to my crap Kuwait internet connection. Months went by, then a few weeks ago I tried it again, and its working. Started over with a new guy, added a few mods, and I am having a great time.
