It looks absolutely awesome, I have been keeping an eye on it and just can't pull the trigger. Suppose I will wait until it is released.

FYI it ends in Monday night so if you want in, I would hurry.

Yeah, I took the plunge last night. I figured it was worth throwing money at! There's a possibility of a Linux version too; if that happens I'd be delighted. If not, I still have a Windows partition on my PC!

Also the benefit I have is the exchange rate is about $1.5 to £1 so while I'd consider £35 to be a lot to spend at this stage, $35 is just over £23 which is within the bounds of being worth it for me. That and I've been waiting over a decade for this!

I ended up pledging. All the space combat vids were too much for me to resist. Also the carrier will be avaliable as a player controlled ship now.

Watching BSG Blood & Chrome this weekend didn't help.

So now that Christmas and New Year have passed, things really seem to be kicking off.

I'm also very impressed with the amount of interaction that we're getting already.

I'm still following this and have ploughed far more money into it than I really should!

The fund-raising tally is now over $13 million!! The aim is now to raise the $21 million required to crowdfund the entire game, which looks very likely to happen before it gets released in over a year's time.

Yea, I have been keeping my eye on it occasionally, but really have not spent much time reading their updates. The game is still a long ways off. I am a bit put off by the ridiculous pricing of some of the new ships they are adding.

You don't have to buy the ships though, you will be able to get them all in game. I just see it as donating money to the project and getting a little something in return. Whether it's actually worth the price I paid doesn't really matter that much to me.
