Hey all! I'm not sure how many of you enjoy playing board games, but Denver is beginning to look like the place to be for Board Gamers.

We just had Genghis Con a few weeks ago, and TactiCon is coming sometime in the later half of the year. Both of these Cons have Board Games, PnP RPG's and Wargames. Since last year there has been a third Con as well, and this year, for the second annual Conclave of Gamers, we have moved it to Father's Day weekend, to better situate it in-between Genghis and TactiCon.

If you live in or near Colorado take a look at http://www.conclaveofgamers.org for more information. This is going to be a fun weekend of open gaming, that will also include some tournaments for those who just have to be the top dog.

Also, if you are into board games and would like a place to schedule Meetups, go to http://www.boardgamemeetup.com and take a look. It's a new site created by the guy to started the Conclave, and it's tailored to TableTop gaming, unlike those other meetup sites.

So, long delayed update on both the 2013 convention and the 2014 convention.

for 2013 we had about 100 people attend. It was extremely fun, however I was not happy with our location.

for 2014 we had about 375 people attend. This was the first one I was involved in from the start. This time we moved to a Hotel Convention Center. Huge difference when you have a full staff at the venue to address needs on the fly. Pretty excited about the turnout and the response we got from local media and the City itself.

We are currently planning for 2015, and are planning on going to a twice-a-year format by 2016.

This sounds cool...

I have been getting into the "Star Wars X-Wing" a bit the past year. I love the miniatures, and the game play is fun.
Plus I have a 12 year old now (almost 13...gasp) who enjoys the game. (and minecraft, halo, magic the gathering, D&D....)

Would be fun to have a local gaming tabletop community.

Ok, figure it's time for an update since our Kickstarter Campaign just went live!

We are in our Fourth year now, and growing even bigger. This will be our second year at the Crowne Plaza Denver International Airport convention center, and this is getting pretty awesome! We're doing it over four days, Thursday, April 16th through Sunday, April 19th 2015, and we're going to have a lot more Role-Playing games and Miniatures games this year, as well as Board Games, Card Games and possibly electronic games again this year! If it goes really well we might just jump to twice a year now instead of waiting until next year.
