I'm looking forward to this summer:

  1. After a whole lot of trying, Danyale and I are having a baby. Baby is due in May. I fly home for the holidays, we should find out if we're having a boy or girl while I'm home.

  2. My new house plans are complete. We've been designing our new home for the past year. The plans are at the permit office and the neighborhood approval board. Hopefully we will start construction this month. Still waiting for all the subcontractor estimates to come back, if all goes well I'll have enough budget for a killer Entertainment and Home Automation package. I'll be working with my Audio Video guys while I'm home.

  3. I've been working oversees 8 years, financial goals have been accomplished, coming home sometime in-between May and November. I may be allowed to work from home tracking and reporting on all our government projects around the globe. I may get a job with some other home town company. I may partner with my home builder and help him grow his business. I may buy several apartment and manage them. Or I may just day-trade for a living.

Lots of changes on the horizon.

.. and still a pain in the ass.

Look at us. All responsible and stuff. My 2 girls are getting big. 10 and 8. Been divorced ... I dunno... 6 years now. 2 long term relationships later, I'm single again. I'm doing well though. Got a couple companies I run that keep me busy, but I'm trying to get settled into a groove that will allow for some gaming. I miss it.

I'm still single, still a geek, still an engineer. Bought a house a year ago. Lots of my friends are married; a number are having kids. I still feel far older than I rightly should!

Yup. I still check this almost every day! Given up posting every day just to keep conversations going though, as I seem to end up talking to myself, and I do that far too much already!

You building spaceships yet mate? :)

Define spaceship and building! :)

I play Kerbal Space Program. That's pretty much the closest I've got. Though my job is still pretty cool (I do CSI type stuff, except it's aircraft rather than people! (i.e. forensic material science and playing with a 3D laser scanner :D (how many nested brackets are too many nested brackets? (I feel like finding out!)))) ... just not as cool as building spaceships!

Having said that, I suspect playing KSP is more fun than the reality of building spaceships.

I still check in every so often. Congrats on all the new jobs, new babies, grown kids, etc :) Same here, kids growing up; got one about to graduate high school and start college, another in 7th grade, and I turned 40 this year. Ugg. I play a bit of WOW but not much outside that.

Check from time to time... about once a month, unless something sparks my interest.

Just for info and kicks.
Playing:

Online:
Rust (Online FPS in alpha, survival+crafting)
World of Tanks. Gotten Tier 9 tank E-75 and just need to collect enough money for E-100, which is already researched.

Singleplayer:
Kerbal Space Program.
7DaystoDie (Mix of Rust and Minecraft, zombie survival+craftting)

On backburner:
SWTOR (well.... you know... it is hard to love a game which has been stretched thin.)
Star Trek Online (Need a re-install, but it is fun from time to time.)
Elder Scrolls (Can any of these games ever be played only once?)
Minecraft (Need to install it again. Must be a ton of updates)

I am married, with a house and a 7mo old.

Been spending faaaaar to much time on facebook, 'cause I was looking for the "Like" button.

My summer 2014 (if all goes well) is going to Denmark, starting at university with Korean Studies being my Major (undecided on Minor - but heck, once I learn the language, I might decide to drop out after one vacation in South Korea and finding a lovely lady).

Still playing World of Tanks. And yes... still money-grinding toward the E-100.
Rust has been changed with Warthunder, for an aerial variety. (Was in Closed beta for World of Warplanes, but gave up due to annoying lag on controls... ought to reinstall it and see if they fixed that).

Single player, same old same old. Kerbal when I wanna see if I can land on the Moon (erhm... Mün) without crashing, using the least amount of materials.
7daystodie has been upped to a LAN-party gme with my friend alongside Borderlands 2.

Been head of IT-department for 4 years now at Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, which doesn't say much, since it has been downed to "Have you tried to turn off and on again?" and "Which expensive software should I deny my users now?"

I have grown bitter and cynical, but I still manage to walk around with a smile from all the trolling on chatsites. Especially the dating chats, where desperate homosexuals starts a private chat with anyone resembling a male on the chat-nickname.

Still single in the country where prostitution never got popular, which is odd since the best way to keep warm in the frozen heckhole of Hoth, is to snuggle.

Re-reading what I ahve written, makes me wonder if I am gonna get a warning from the moderator....

Oh... I log in on a daily basis now, since I have just pinned the forums to my browser, so I am reminded to check it out once in a while.

I still check daily, more or less, but I don't post so as to avoid talking to myself.

Still very into Star Citizen.

After 6 years of full-time employment and 3 years at my present location, I think I might be starting to get used to the routine. I'm finding I never have enough free time to do my ever-increasing list of personal projects. However, I have this week off, so I might be able to achieve something!

I hope all is well with everyone!

Cyrus, how's it going now? You should be home, house should be done, right?

I obviously have not been checking the forums regularly.

Status:
Still divorced (3 1/2 years), My youngest is now in Kindergarten, and my Ex is staying with me temporarily until she can move in with her fiance (which means my boys are living with me full-time right now).
I help run a Gaming Convention in the Denver area (We just had our 3rd annual convention and are in the midst of planning for the 4th), and I'm still single (happily).

I'm starting to think I probably ought to leave the house a bit more than just going to work! I am rather getting into gardening though, now that I finally have the weeds mostly under control!

I'm still in Afghanistan and will get out of here when the mission is over. Who knows when that is. I was getting out in October, but they chose to transfer my deputy back to Dallas and keep me around longer. I'm in the proposal until July 31, 2015. But then if they do not choose a AFG president we may get out of here before Janurary 1, 2015. Again, who knows.

House is coming along.... somewhat delayed. The exterior is up, tile in the bathrooms are installed, floors are in, cabinetry is going in now, and we are trying to choose a landscape firm to take care of the outside finishing touches. Here is a link showing progress on our house: http://thibodeauxmom.com/my-projects/lanes-end/

Our baby, Anna Catherine, was born four months early. She has been in the NICU ever since February 1st; Its been a difficult 7 months for Danyale and I. Anna Catherine is getting bigger and stronger each day. Here is a link for keeping up with Anna Catherine: http://thibodeauxmom.com/my-family/anna-catherine/

I still kick around these parts every now and then. Divorced about 5 years ago. Getting married again later this year (no stage fright for this guy).

Was on a big console kick for a while but now back on PC. Playing a ton of Heroes of the Storm and Cities: Skylines. Both are crazy fun. Looking forward to the new Batman game coming in June (well, hopefully it stays June).
