As the applications forum is down, I introduce myself and my friends here. We're a small group (5) of crafting-oriented characters (architect, droid engineer, weaponsmith, smuggler...), we've founded our PA in beta (BlackHole Workshop near Tyrena on Bria) and for the release we're looking to join you because we think that Avian could provide us a good structure to enjoy our game experience in SWG especially in crafting and trading.

Now let's introduce myself and my character :

I'm member of www.swg-fr.com's staff since september 2002, beta tester since 04/15/2003 (cant forget a day like that :P) and in real life student at the EPFL (Polytechnic Federal School of Lausanne in Switzerland).
Slugeater told me about Avian (heya sluggy  ) in the early times of beta testing phase.

I'll play a bothan Smuggler named Kei Anh'kor focused on Spice Selling and Slicing.

Cya. :)

Hello all,
as Keih, im a member of the beta PA : Black Hole Workshop.
I am a beta tester since phase 3 and i've been lurking on SWG community websites for a while now. In real life, I live near Geneva in Switzerland.

As in beta, I plane to go for a Master Architect Mon Cal as my primary goal. I can specialize in whatever the PA needs the most ( I like everything in this profession ). Im quiet experienced in this domain as I built our PA Hall and many other structures for our beta testers.

As crafting will be my main focus during my play times, I think Avian really fit my needs and share my view of game mechanics.

Hoping to join you in your adventures soon,

Nicjac

Hey all,

I'm Flyoc, the third guy from teh Black Hole Workshop, also BT since phase 3. I'll play a Mon Cal DE focused on...well, let's say droids. After mastering this profession I plan to get the Revive skill of the doctor (and the required skill in medicine crafting to make some Rescuscitation Kits).

Why AT&T ? (hmm, ever heard that before....)
Well you guys seem cool and pretty well organized, and I think choosing a crafter PA when you are a crafter doesn't seem foolish.

IRL I leave near Paris, France.

Regards,
Flyoc.

Welcome Europeans :)

Please be patient with the process and stay involved as much as you can. I believe it is worth the wait.

Kei: Spice trader huh, great, Avian can always use more drugs.

Nicjac: Hello and welcome.

Flyoc: Droids are cool. Where exactly do you live. I had a great visit to your fine country last year. Enjoyed it very much.

Yes they are, and they will be much cooler when totally fixed and even more with some *real* combat droids schematics (droidekas ? hehe)

I leave about 35 km northwest of Paris, in Val d'Oise.

Cya !

We stayed 4 nights in Paris, then rented a car and drove to Normandy and stayed a night. Drove to Mont St. Michel then to Orleans and stayed a night there. Also stayed a night in Chartres, and the last night at Charles de Gaulle Airport. We would sightsee in the day and then drive at night to the next place. I needed a vacation after the vacation was over.

Welcome to our temp boards. :D

Well since we're not on our real site, we weren't expecting any applicants to find us. To be honest, we're having a
tough time handling our current applicants as it is We'll have to try and figure something out first before we can give you a definite answer.

Also, are you asking for your PA to be a part of Avian, or just yourselves?

We are applying for ourselves.
We were a small PA in beta and found out since last patchs it isnt viable anymore. We were a crafter PA and Avian is the obvious choice for us, we heard great things about you and some of our members have friends in your ranks.

I understand the situation Romsuiag, just wanted to know what to expect :)

As we are europeans, we are most likely going to receive game with 2-3 days after US release. I dont need an exact answer, but knowing what we could expect would really help us getting started. As to when you think application process could start.

We are mostly experienced from Beta so I think we can help the PA starting even if we arent full members yet.

We are very interested in joining you, dont see these questions as provications or impatience, just want to know what is going on =)

Nicjac

Nicjac,

I don't believe Romsuiag or anyone else will view you as impatient. Believe me, compared to myself, you will all seem very patient.

Seriously, hang in there in there for a bit. The website failure couldn't have come at a worse time. While the Avian hierarchy is dealing with it quite well, it definitely set things back a bit. I am hoping to get in soon myself, so I know how you feel. I am going to assist the group regardless of my status as I enjoy the company of the active members very much. If my application is not successful, I won't consider it a complete waste of time as long as I had some fun, and I have so far. Hope you do too.

Nicjac, Flyoc and Kei, it is good to see more Europeans with beta experience wanting to join Avian. I expect you can do quite a bit to help Avian once the game has gone live. It speaks well for you that you have been able to find us despite our recent website troubles.

I am European myself, as are several of our leaders and it would be good to have some more players in our timezone to make the game more enjoyable.

I am looking forward to meeting you in game,

Rak Hagga

Welcome all! Always good to see an influx of new people coming in. Enjoy this makeshift site here until we get our real one back up. We'd love to get to know you all a bit better in the meantime, so keep the posting coming! :) Again, welcome!

I hope you're there for delivery. I was probably in the shower when the Fed-Ex guy got here this morning. Anyway I missed him and can't pick the game up till 4 this afternoon. I couldn't wait that long so I went to the mall and grabbed a collectors edition. I'll sell the other copy to a friend at work who wants to play. See you in game.

Don't worry, at the rate it's going now, none of us will be subscribed to the game before then anyway.

A message from FiG :

---------
Hey,
I'm another member of BHW, I joined the BETA at around the same time as NicJac. I live just outside Geneva, very close to Kei, in Switzerland.

During the BETA, my character was a commando, and I plan to continue working on Commando when I get my hands on my special edition copy.
I look forward to playing with you guys at Avian, helping to defend the PA, shipments and whatever else.

Sorry I couldn't post this myself, but the forum doesn't seem to want me to post, and I know have two accounts setup, none of which work...

Thanks Ahead,

FiG.

Could it be that maybe there were too many people logged in as opposed to too many registered characters?

Sincere good luck in getting on Chilastra. I've heard of people having problems getting on. Hope this does not continue. I play some odd hours sometimes, say hi to Rho the wookie if you get on. :)
