I am new to the boards and I'm sure this has been covered before, but does anyone know when player cities are gonna be introduced. I haven't heard much lately, but I thought it was gonna be soon. I'm just wondering if anyone had any info on this.
Thanks

No time frames have been given on this other than "soon." We're hoping to get more information on these as well, as we're trying to do some planning.

From my time in Beta, I'm guessing it'll be another 8 to 9 weeks before we see them... and anoth 6 weeks for them to work perfectly...

We'll hear alot about them from Test Center befire we see them on live.

Hmm - is there anyone in Avian who has a character on the Test Center?

It would be nice to get some information about the upcoming features before they are rolled out to the Live servers.. :)

If it takes this long just to get the first major feature out, just think how long its gonna take to get vehicles. At this rate I doubt we'll see the expansion next June. They are gonna have trouble holding people for this long.

Since there are already films on creature mounts I don't expect vehicles will be a great leap. But, yeh I would say wait for the space expansion and get THIS game working right first.

I'd be perfectly happy if they took the X-Wing engine, updated the graphics and sound, added craftable ships and stuff, and slapped it into Galaxies for the space expansion. After all, that was about the last decent game Lucas Arts made.

The SE is being done by an entirely separate team, so holding that off to get the current game sorted won't change anything other than having to wait even longer for the SE.

Of course you gotta love curse of monkey island. For the SE it really needs to be like the X-wing games, though im sure the engine needs to be updated. Trying too hard to make the space combat part of them game like an rpg will only end in miserably.

My prediction:

SE ships on xx/xx/2004, 4 months later, weapons are patched in.

My prediction: xx/xx = 11/01. Just in time for the holidays.
