I seem to get pretty luck whenever I go and watch a sport in a stadium for the first time. The first NFL game I saw, when I was 11 or 12, was a American Bowl in Berlin, Germany. It was the 49ers vs. the Bears and I got to "meet" Jerry Rice and see Joe Montana play for a bit. The first baseball game the KC Royals vs ? a few years ago, it had two bench clearing brawls in it. Fun stuff. And today I went to watch a college football game for the first time. It was the Kansas Jayhawks against the Missouri Tigers (Ranked.23 in the country). It was a blast! KU ended up beating them 35-14. After the game everyone rushed the field and tore down the goal posts! Absolutely hilarious! They rushed the south side of the field and chased the 10 cops that were guarding it away. After about 3 minutes the thing collasped. Then they rushed the north side of the stadium the 15 cops surrounding it gave up and watched as hundereds of people brought down the second goal post. This time the students also ripped it into three pieces and carried them out of the stadium to some lake nearby. Even the announcer was giving a play by play of the celebration.

Anyways I was pretty entertained :).

FYI: Kansas and Mizzou have one of the longest running continuous rivalries of any two colleges West of Mississippi. They have played each other ALOT and it is a big rivalry.

Good to see Kansas turning it around, they have sucked at Football for so very long....

Yah, fortunately for me my wife had me hauling her around to antique malls and stuff Saturday and the radio in the car is on the blink.

I am a Mizzou alumni and go to a game or two each year. Last year's game for me was Homecoming it was Kansas and Missouri won that. The Missouri fans rushed security and tore down the posts in that game too.

At my college, they gave out free writeable CDs to anyone who came to watch the games.

As an alum from University of Michigan... and an avid UofM football fan. I must say that in my opinion, college football is the most entertaining of all sports. My team is usually ranked in the top 10 in the country, so I may be a little biased... anyone who has a chance to go see a game, do it.

I have also heard a lot of great things about professional soccer (the real football) games in Europe. I plan to check one of those out next time I go overseas...

Go Blue!

College football games are the best!

I go to LSU, and football games here are whole day events. The SEC was ranked the best tailgating conferenceā€¦ and LSU is arguably the King of SEC tailgating. Guys like my brother and thousands more start the party early Saturday morning tailgating and just having a great time. Football Saturdays are so much fun that seeing a good football game at 7PM seems like a bonus and not the main event after a day full of partying.

Our stadium seats something like 92k people, yet for most games we easily have 150k people on campus tailgating. Football games are sold out so often that LSU will be bowling in the upper deck in the coming years to make room for more fans.

Summary: I love College Football
