Post subject: | Need Help Capturing Video/DVD Screens |
This is sort of an urgent situation... does anyone know any software that will capture the images from video files or DVDs - every utility I've used so far gives me the same thing.. a 'blank' image that is just like a frame for the movie in whatever player it's being played with, if that makes any sense. I need to turn a few shots into actual images. |

You get a blank image cause the screencapture software you're using is reading the screen area from Windows, while the software is writing directly to the graphics memory (if I remember correctly). I think you can find what you need at www.divx-digest.com and look under "software". |

I use Power DVD and there is an option IF YOU TURN OFF GRAPHIC CARD ASSISTANCE you get the option to take screen caps. It has worked well. I dont know if you are using Power DVD... |
