My lovely wife returned from Germany on Thursday and brought me back 3 gifts. Which one's are worthy and which ones (if any) should I give to the dog?

(BTW, the I must say Germans have the proper sense of proportion for their bottles)
  1. Schlosser Das Alt
  2. Diebels
  3. Frankenheim Alt

I'm eyeing that Diebels pretty hard. And nein Dunkel what's up with that?

And I don't have a dog for all you animal lovers out there

All three are proper German beer, so none should be given to dogs.

Are those any fancy bottle sizes or the simple half-liter bottles?

From the selection I would say she has been to Düsseldorf... :D

It's a matter of taste. Enjoy all three and choose your personal favorite.

I can't recommend one over the other, I mostly drink Hefeweizen, no Altbier.

Wrong area.

Hmmmm...Hefeweizen. I remember the days of drinking that in Sass Fee Switzerland.

Is it only in Bavaria?

She brought you local specialties. To get a decent Dunkel she should have gone to Bavaria. You can get it everywhere, but then it's not local anymore.
