You can always buy an external keyboard for $8
Unless you truly are lugging the laptop around while playing I would say that is the best solution, as it will also preserve your laptop keyboard for more important stuff than gaming.

Does anyone know how to remap the keys on a Dell Laptop? I called technical service and they sucked. I am playing a game called Hearts of Iron on my laptop. To speed up and slow down the game which is absolutely vital to playing a real time game you have to press ctl and plus and ctl and minus on the keypad on the side of a standard keyboard. There is no keypad on a laptop. Pressing ctl and insert on the laptop does slow the game down but there is no key that speeds it up. Anyone familiar with this and can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks. |

I was not aware you could plug a keyboard in but I suppose I never looked. Hope I can plug a keyboard and mouse in at the same time but I would guess I probably can. Thanks Matija. |

If you have a single PS/2 port on your laptop, you can buy a PS/2 y-split cable, enabling you to plug in a keyboard and a mouse at the same time. 
..Or plub in a PS/2 keyboard and a USB mouse (or vice verca).. Iobike |
