Post subject:  Matrix Revolutions
OK... not going to spoil anything here... but I just wanted to know everyone's opinions on the movie.

I was a big fan... it wasn't perfect, and the sequels did not live up to the first one, but they never do. Everyone was complaining that it left more questions than answers, but I disagree... I think you just had to think it all through and figure it out for yourself. I love movies that make you think after it's over, and one thing is for sure, all 3 Matrix movies did that.

Also, my friend told me that he read somewhere that if you wait until the end of the credits there are 15 more minutes of film. Can anyone confirm this?

I left during the credits so now I am wondering if I didn't see everything. I was going to see it a second time anyways but this may motivate me to see it a lot sooner than planned.

Have you watched the Animatrix as well, Moleo? I picked that up a while back and it helps fill in quite a bit of the fiction, answers some questions.

I thought it was good, but that comes from somone who barely remembers what happened in the 2nd one.

The second one I would have voted, "refund please." I seriously dozed off during those excessivly long drawn out conversations.

I wish they had worked more on the dialogue in all of them though. Whenever they explained something it went like this...
1) Blah blah blah
2) Why?
1) Blah blah blah
2) What is it?
1) Blah blah blah
2) Who does?
1) Blah blah blah
2) Who are you?

You get the idea. Questions and asnwers aren't exactly a creative way of doing it.

I stayed till the end of the credits for just that reason Moleo, and there was nothing. Rocklar is right, if you have not seen the Animatrix, I highly suggest it. There are two parts of the Animatrix that go together, and they explain ALOT about everything BEFORE the Matrix movies. Its really cool.

I was dissappointed at first with Reloaded, and the same with Revolutions, but the more I thought about it, the more I like both. I love Reloaded now, and Revolutions is growing in my mind.

Just something that I realized that a couple of the people I saw Revolutions with didn't.....

Yeah... I figured that out...

As far as Rom's comment about Dialogue... it didn't bother me, but now that I think about it, you're right.

I'd pay to see it again.

I liked it. I didn't like the 30 minutes of terrible previews at the beginning.

Also, if you played the game, it seems to make everything make much more sense (or, I bet it will - I've only spent 2 hours on the game).


I personally thought it was going to be much more of a Matrix inside the Matrix type thing. Suprised me a bit.

Story = average, faux intellectualism.
I thought it was ok, but it was no Donnie Darko.

The reason why this movie got a good vote from me is because I slipped on my drool on the way out. The effects were astonishing in every aspect...it was in a word...beautiful.

edit: Sorry, give the story a little more credit, it was much better than what we usually see massacre the word 'plot'.

Actually it was + and - = 0 where 0 is the perfect solution.

I thought it was very entertaining. It actually took me a while until I could actually form an opinion on it, because I was just thinking about what I saw, and the special effects were pretty mind-blowing. I think this movie will grow on me. And, you know, I really liked the second one too.

I wasn't too confused, and I've only seen like two of the Animatrix episodes. It reminds me I need to watch them.

I just saw this movie last night, and I was pleasantly surprised. I think that the second one, Reloaded, was the worst movie I have ever paid to see, and I absolutely abhored it. I had read a lot of things about Revolutions on the 'net, and had decided I would hate it too.

It helped that I knew a little bit of what to expect from teh movie, and had had some stuff explained to me before hand, since the movie still has problems with some of the plot development and exposition. However, and maybe because of what I already knew going into it, I thoroughly enjoyed the film. It caused me to actually think a little bit coming out of the theater. Not on a deep, philosophical level, but just a little bit, thinking about the plot of the movie. Trinity's death scene was too long and largely sucked, Neo being able to "wi-fi" into the Matrix and the machines needed to be explained, and the entire beginning with the Train-man/Merv was extremely stupid and gay. But other than that, the flick was quite enjoyable.

/agree with Cetera on all points.

The pos/neg thing is the very interesting. It's really like a mathematical religion. You have your savior and anti-savior, biological god and mechanical god (oracle/architect). As long as everything is balanced, things work out. There was a lot of christianity in there too (anderson/smith were the offspring of oracle -- christ/satan to god, etc.). It was a good thinking movie, but not original. I could write the same story and if I had hundreds of millions of dollars, I could make the movie.

But certainly not bad.

Well first of all the + doens't say any nimber so we should presume that it is 0.

So it says

0=-

Any the - doens't say anything either so it will be a number that makes no sense at all.
-0,000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001

and since the number doesn't make sense with so many zeroes we go for what it is most close to. Bordervalue we call it. So the -0,000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 will become 0

Witch means it will be 0=0

But if We say that the -=+ is -1=1 then it will be different.

We can move the -1 to the other side of the solve sign so we get a 0=2 witch is wrong since zero cn not be equal to two.
If we do it the other way we'll get -2=0 witch is the same problem.

But. If it is a ax^2+bx+c=0 then it is another story.

It will be 0= 0x^2+0x+2.
So we do some math.

The formula says
d=b^2-4ac

so d=0^2-4*0*2
wich is d=0

when d is zero then the equation got one spot in the first axis.
And since the spot the line "touches" is (0,0) the solution is
0=2 since 0=0

Well, it all depends on your assuptions and what virtual number/geometric system you use.

Go read Godel/Escher/Bach (if you hadn't already). Great thinking book... made for exactly the type of people who like the matrix (without the explosions and killing).
