Just a heads up (Rocklar!) to those who are like me and can't wait for this one to hit the selves- check the normal game files sharing sites- here if file planet's link-

http://www.fileplanet.com/files/130000/133479.shtml

Haven't played it yet, so can't commit on how it is.

I can't wait for this game. The demo isn't too long, but it gives a glimpse of how amazing this game really is. You can interact with practically everything, and I love the idea of all the side quests (there's a couple in the demo). This game is right up my alley. A FPS/RPG mix... simply amazing. It makes me want to play the first one again in anticipation.

Im gonna be a hator and say I did not like the demo. It seemed cheap to me, like it was just thrown together... I know this is not the case. The HUD did annoy me but Im sure one just has to get used to it. I am looking forward to the ful game but this demo leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I absolutely loved DX, but have not gotten around to reying the DX2 demo yet (too much to do in SWG :)

So, how is it? I heard the controls were a bit murky and slow. Anything else notable about it?

will try and download the demo tonight

I hated it.

It felt like they lost all of the atmosphere of the first game and, is it just me or is the interface very slow and clunky.

Uggggh *shudder*

Nuff said

I didn't have a problem with the controls. Pretty standard really. The inventory management is probably my biggest complaint. And the default sensitivity is ridiculously high.

It's really hard to tell from this short demo, but to me it really feels like this can be just as immersive as the first title, if not moreso.

You can change controls in a .ini file somewhere.

I tried some, the Interface is not too good, but I got used to it in the end, and had to severely reduce the sensitivity on order to be able to make precise shots and stuff.

And I miss the Skill system from DX. It's a pity the cut it from the new game.

I liked the first Dues Ex game better as well. I played the demo and it was just a big turn off. I didn't like the controls, it was too over-sensitive even when adjusting the sentivity bar, the inventory circular bar thing was a pain in the ass, and the skill system isn't in the game which I miss. However, I'm sure the story line is phenomial like in Max Payne, and Max Payne 2, but the game just doesn't live up to the first one I'm sorry to say. heh.

:P Oh well....I gues that means were waiting for Doom 3, and Half-Life 2!
