General: Currently i only play WoW. Not sure which style of play i prefer since i've yet to encounter any PvP. In all honesty i prefer futuristic MMORPG but have played few since there really aren't many. I have played alot of different fantasy based ones which tend to have a better feel to them. I'm not currently following the progress of any MMORPG. I may try my hand at the creator's of DAoC futuristic MMORPG next year. The only current character i have in WoW is "Shamuson". Player Associations: Yes i have been apart of other player associations for multiple other games. In EQ i was a proud member of "Halfling Nation". In DAoC i was a member of "Fire and Ice". Most recently i was the leader/founder of a decent sized linkshell/guild in FFXII called "Hellskitchen". I suppose the reason i left any/all of these associations was the simple fact that i quit playing the game. I have been ,like alot of people i'm sure, invited to join many guilds. One that sticks out to me that i remember i was going to join but right at the end of my playing EQ was "Changing Tide". They were a very renowned guild and i had a personal invite from many of there leaders to join. The game had just run it's course with me by the time i was going to join. Avian: I have read and understand the charter. There is nothing i would change to the charter. I am aware that many of avian's organization is done through forums and not in game. I'd probably check the forums atleast once a day. I was invited to join Avian while in the care of "Lori" who helped me and a few others while we were younglings to finnish some quests. He told me of his guild and what they stand for and asked if i would be interested in joining. Ihave chosen to join Avian for it's rich collection of members that are not of the typical higher guilds of you must do this by this etc. but of just helping one another and enjoying the game. I expect nothing from Avian ecept maybe to make friends and what i offer is if nothing else my returned friendship. A helping hand in need someday will help another hand in need also. Hey Shamuson, Welcome! I saw the add for that futuristic MMORPG by the DAoC guys, too. Looked interesting, though I had heard they were having some development problems. I hope you like the forums, please feel free to post a bit and let us get to know you. I agree that it's nice to be in a guild where you don't have requirements or are only grinding in-game. Hopefully, Avian will be a place you enjoy just because of the people here. See ya! |

I had been following "Imperator", the Mythic futuristic MMOG closely, seeing as I was thinking of applying for a job with them... "Having some development problems" is understating it. They have delayed the further development indefinitely, seeing it did not meet their quality standrads, and pulled the Imperator website, putting the dev tema to work on DAoC and their upcoming Warhammer MMOG. So I guess you people will have to look for another futuristic MMOG for the near future. Edward stoking up the discussion here a bit |

LOL ...sorry "Liro" it was late and i was tired. As to the rest of you thanks for the welcome and i look forward to meeting up with you all sometime be it here or in another existance. Sorry to hear that the futuristic game by AoC was scrapped but who knows maybe it'll live on or something else will come about of interest. Hope i'll qualify for the guild but my time is limited of late so i haven't been playing much ( the misses has even out done me by 4 lvls now which is an al time first) or posting here for that matter and not sure when either will change so i don't know if that has an effect on any decisions or not. Anyway see you all as soon as i can! |

LOL...you know i never realized my name minus the "son" spells Shamu. Here i come WoW make room for your new killer (whale). Anyway glad to be a member! Seen alot of you in game but still getting used to all the names/alts on WoW. Want to send out special thanks to all that helped me the other day by offering up equipment upgrades. I never joined this/any guild for free stuff but, of course i won't complain/turn down offers

welcome! One easy way to help everyone get to know your toons and alts is to edit your character profile here http://www.avian-gamers.net/characters.php you can add alts for each game you play and even update them with your lvl. |
