General Character Information

What games do you currently enjoy playing the most?
SWG, Guild Wars, and I'm trying out WoW.
What style of gameplay do generally prefer? PvP, PvE, Crafting, etc...?
PvE is my play style.

What game genres do you find most enjoyable?
RPG's first, followed by RTS's and FPS's.

What unreleased games are you currently following the progress of?
I'm following the development of Roma Victor right now.

What unreleased games do you plan on playing in the future?
I'll probably end up playing Roma Victor.

In the games that you currently play, what names do your characters go by?
SWG- Faylval
WoW- Merimot
Guild Wars- Arek

Player Associations

Have you previously been a part of any other Player Associations for any specific games or for gaming in general? Which ones were they, and why did you leave?
In SWG, I was a member of Metalus Gravis <MG> and am currently a member of Rogue Underworld <-x->. I left MG in the great guild migration in order to keep the MG community together. I haven't left -x- per se, but I don't plan on staying in SWG much longer.

With the exception of the ones you have joined (if any) what other Player Associations did you consider?
I haven't considered another PA before.

Avian

Have you read and do you understand the text of the official Avian Charter?
Yes.

Is there anything you would change or amend to the Charter?
No.

Are you aware that a lot of Avian’s organization is conducted on the forum as opposed to in games themselves? How often do you see yourself regularly checking the forums if you are accepted into Avian?
I check the forums for my PA at least once a day.

Please take a moment to tell us how you found Avian.
Baylor/Tetran told me about the site in reference to the current discussion about Roma Victor.

Please explain why you have chosen Avian and why Avian should choose you. What do you expect to get from your membership in Avian and what do you expect to offer?
Starting out in SWG, I remember seeing quite a few Avian building dotting the Corellian landscape, especially the collection of houses (the first ones I saw in-game). This shows that Avian is a well-run, well-organized PA, and, if you guys start playing Roma Victor, that is something that will lend a major advantage to that game. As for accepting me, I'm a laid-back player and I can offer all sorts of help in fighting, or I can try my hand at crafting. I just look forward to associating myself with a collected, serious, dedicated group of players.

Welcome to the boards.

To get in invite (as a recruit). Do a /who avian and ask someone on the list to see if they can get you an in-game invite.

We're on Dalaran for PvE (very active)
Maelstrom for RPPvP (fairly slow, but newer characters)

Welcome!

I think there's more ex-MG here now than in SWG ;)

Thank you for applying to Avian Gamers. Your application is currently being reviewed by the Board of Directors. The application process can take anywhere from a day to 2 weeks or more. A lengthy process is no indication of a negative outcome, however the more you participate in the forums the more likely it is that your wait will be short. As soon as a decision has been made, you will be notified.

You are encouraged to participate in these forums, and interact with our members in game.

If you have any questions about Avian Gamers Network, or about Avian in a particular game, please feel free to post your questions in this thread.

Welcome and hope to meet you in WoW soon!

As for Roma Victor, we have at least a couple people now accepted into the beta and number of others, including myself, have applied. The game really looks to have a lot of potential but I've said that before...a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. In any case, welcome and feel free to contribute to existing threads or start your own so we can get to know you.

Roma Victor Victim, eh? Well, it has a nice ring to it. Yeah, Roma Victor looks promising, but I'm having fun in WoW with you guys right now. It's nice to see quite a few familiar faces from the MG days. Definitely a much more friendly guild chat than my current SWG guild. Of course, how can you keep a good attitude when the game you've spent years in is now slowly failing?

Nice to see you're kind, even to the mean people. Oh, and I'll revise my statement: SWG is going down faster than a prostitute at a virgin millionaire convention.

Faylval,

Congratulations, your application has been accepted by the Board of Directors and you will be placed in Section 5.

As a new member you may wish to visit the
Important Links for Every Member thread. It will greatly help you get caught up with the rest of Avian. Remember that some things at that link might be slightly out of date now they we have expanded into a multi-game Player Association. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me, or any of our members.

Again, Congratulations on your membership.
