*edit* Anyone who wants to join in on this little story is more than welcome to! Angus paid little attention to the fat little Rodian as he watched the last of his cargo being offloaded. Glitterstim was hell to transport these days now that the Empire had really started cracking down on Spice smuggling, but the pay was just phenominal to those few Smugglers still willing to risk life and limb to transport it. He had made a killing this trip, and was looking forward to spending some of those credits on some R&R. His thoughts of drinking and carousing with dancing girls were interrupted by the droning of his client. "Huh?" he snapped out of his reverie. "What did you say?" "I said," the Rodian sighed. "When can I expect the next shipment?" The little guy seemed really impatient. "Hell if I know. I just drive this stuff. Talk to Jabba." Angus made a show of checking thhe power on his blaster, showing the little Rodian that the conversation part of this deal was over. "He'll let me know when I'm needed again." Holstering the blaster again, Angus turned and started walking toward the garage where his swoop was parked. He rarely used his ship these days because of the Imps, sometimes it was just much less of a hassle to move stuff over ground, as well as bribing public shuttle pilots to look the other way when an extra crate or two appeared in their cargo holds. Luckily for him, most glitterstim shipments were small and easily transportable. He took off and was cruising at the swoop's top speed out of town, changing his course a few times out of habit before glancing down at the map. It had been a long time since a job took him here to Talus, and he noticed a few more small cities had popped up since then. One of the city names caught his eye. Avian City, he thought. I'll be damned. Been a long time since I've seen them. I wonder if I'd be welcome to stay a while. He chuckled as he realized he had unconsciously changed course to go there already. Well, guess I'll find out. |
