Roran just finished his master weaponsmith quest (as Jagar already decided Armorsmith , but he's such a good guy he'll make anything for us if we have the ingredients so no worries.) and I believe I need to get to Winterspring for my weapon specialization.

Easiest method would be for a warlock to port me there and I plan on asking Kharlaq when I see him online. Otherwise, I would need to run from Darnassus and at level 40 my agro radius would be significant, not to mention the cave that goes from Felwood to WS would require people to lose faction with that group of critters in the hold.

Right now I am leaning towards swordsmith, and I don't think there are any other specializations I can take (Like daggers or polearms)

I don't think there are any other people who have progressed in BS far enough to do this?

Why not jsut wait until 50 or higher, you can't really get either path as you will have to go into the higher end instance to complete the quests needed to spec. I know Swordsmith will take you you to strat Baron

Well, I'll be able to tell where I need to go and have Arindel scout out the area so I am familiar with the zone before giving it a go. Also, I can start collecting some of the raw materials.

Not, that I can't get that off thott or one of the other databases, but any foresight would helpful.

I must admit, the poll results don't seem overwhelming for the number of people we have in the Avian/WOW segment.

Then again the subject doesn't really indicate the message below, but it seemed to get a fair number of hits, considering.

Looks like it is swords for now.

I have been looking into Timbermaw faction (which is the cave you're talking about running thru) and on some sites I've seen where they say at honored there are BS formulas.

I'm not sure if this is true because I haven't been able to find any plans from Timbermaw faction yet although patch notes from 1.6 mention smithing recipes here. There is an alchemy recipe from these guys that I want for Zerina though.

Something else to consider is what Blizzard may do in the future regarding rewards for Timbermaw faction. I'm talking here about the recently added Thorium rewards at revered and exalted.

On a final note Zorrukk is at unfriendly with them now and I'm unable to target them so I dont know if I could help you run thru there or not.

honestly, I would look at all the recipes that you can get in each line, and whichever have the best bonus's / mods... go that route.

I know I will use a kick ass weapon over a specific type... of course, I can use everything too as a Hunter.....

There is an exit from that cave going North that leads to another area that has quite a few high-end formulas and recipes. I know I went there to get some for alchemy and they could easily have others.

If you don't get attacked by them, you can just run right through...and honestly, it will save time in the long run if they aren't hostile to you on sight.

Mantison, I like the idea of best mods, and the weapon choices for each class are slim pickings...Armor has quite a bit more variety. According to Thott, each specialization only has 3-4 weapons to produce, but getting weapon specialization allows for another 4-6.
