I have been playing around with a new Mod named Flexbar. Check out my UI and my review of flexbar at the following link.

Toby, that is one of the reasons I haven't yet tried cosmos, but after reading the excellent write up by Cyrus I will give both cosmos and flex bar a go.

Cyrus, thanks for taking the time to put that together. Outstanding!

Yes thanks for the review(s) Cyrus/others. Took those to get me to try cosmos and I'm fairly happy I did now and try to get others to test it out as well now.

Excellent list. I also liked the link you included, and will grab those sound packs.

I love the Shard Count mod. I also loaded the combined inventory mod, which works wonderfully -- it just makes one large bag of your entire inventory that appears when you hit the B key. Love it.

They also repaired the tacklebox option, which just reduces the number of clicks per fishing.

Also, I had to disable version check restrictions to get these working. To do this, I clicked the "Addons" button on the Character log-on screen. I love that Blizzard has this built right into the game! I simply unchecked "version checking" option, and the new mods worked on next log-in.

Again, these are all listed (along with about 30 others) and updated at: http://www.cosmosui.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=7

Cool stuff Yak. I have been away for what seems like forever. When I get back up to speed I will be calling you to learn more about your new finds.

Here's a link to the zip file for the Bag Sort add-on:

http://www.crossler.com/swg/BagSort1.01.zip

All you have to do is to unzip it into your
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns directory

Works like a champ!! I love it. I use this and the bagsort addon, which sorts everything everytime you type /bagsort by category and then alphabetically.

What about all the /sea files it wants to overwrite? Is that ok?

I didn't have any problems with it overwriting those. You might want to backup your /sea directory just in case.

There is a new version of Flexbar. Lots of new sweetness if you liked the original version. Here is a link to all that it can do.

Scroll back to the list of events... that is the stuff I am ohh-ing and ahh-ing over now.

Anyone have a working link on where to get this mod? I am needing more buttons and have read great things about flexbar but the link above as well as those listed on the main WoW forums are not working anymore (looks like the guy didn't pay his internet bill).

Any help is much appreciated.

The latest version of Flexbar is VERY POWERFUL! Most of the stuff I use it for is very basic, but I love thinking of ways to use the advanced features. The new scripting and macro abilities are very enticing..... someone like Yak or Obo would probably be in code paradise with them.

I get all my mods from http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php. Flexbar's direct link on Curse is http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php?addid=42

Over the months I have grown to be very knowledgeable in basic flexbar commands. If you need any help, or if you have any questions I can help.

Just downloaded and installed this, and it looks very, very good at first sight. I do have a problem getting a button to show up only on mouseover, then disappear when I move mouse away, been trying for a while but I can't seem to get the syntax right.

Flexbar version 1.406 Released!

We have now releast the new Version of flexbar. You can download the new version from the www.wowguru.com. here is the changes:

Moving Buttons Issue:
The previous method of just saving the button locations every 2 seconds was causing all kinds of problems with wandering groups when the group had been moved using the MoveABS, MoveREL, or Move by mouse. It seems that WoW does not update the entire group after the move immediately, and this could cause button positions and group related mouseenter, mouseleave, movetomouse events to miss-fire as well.

Redesigned how button locations are saved in FlexBar. The new save routines will only save new button locations when the button is moved using a FlexBar move command, or a Drag or the button itself. For any group movement, the button location offsets are stored prior to the move, and restored after the move (relative to the anchor button) to ensure that all button locations are properly updated.

MoveToMouse, MouseEnter, MouseLeave Issue:
There were problems introduced in the first attempt to fix the moving buttons issue that caused problems with any Move to the mouse location, or with the Mouse Enter and Leave checks. The new fix for moving buttons will resolve these issues as well.

Added Text3 text Field for Buttons
An additional text field was added to the buttons. This one will appear in the middle of the button, and can accept any text value that the previous two text fields allowed.

New Commands Added to Support Text3:
·Text3 - "/FlexBar Text3 Button=<buttons> Text=<text>"
·Justifytext3 - "/FlexBar Justifytext3 Button=<buttons> Pos=<position>"
·Shadetext3 - "/FlexBar ShadeText3 Button=<buttons> Color=<[r g b]>"

Added a new KeyBinding for Showing Button Information
A new Key Binding is available in Key Bindings. After this has been set in the Key Bindings menu, you can use this Key Bind to show information on each button. The information displayed will be:
Top (text1) : Button ID
Middle (text3) : Remap ID
Bottom (text2) : Group ID

When pressed once, all current button text will be replaced with the information above. When pressed a second time, all previous button text will be restored.

Added CHAT_MSG_SPELL_SELF_DAMAGE, to Properly support Target Dodges
This change was merged from an example posted in the forums.
Getting PlayerMiss to work for special attacks by Aranarth.

Scaled Condition – Typo
There was a typo in the code for Scale Condition. Was checking against ‘alpha’ instead of ‘scale’.

Cool. How is it going?

School is hammering me right now. In one class we are forming a construction company; between all the meetings with lawyers, bankers, mentors, and group coordination, I have not been able to try out any of the 1.7 changes.

Flexbar emails me this kind of news, and it has been killing me no to be able to check it or any of the 1.7 changes out.

It is looking pretty good so far, I play with it as I have time. I was still pretty much a novice flexbar user before this newer version so I havent really gotten to play with the new features much yet either but so far I have come a long way (Will post a screen grab when I am done with it). Right now with my priest build I have a similar professoin menu like you did for the rogue template and have another one on the oposite side of the screen next to the group window when clicked shows a circle of healing spells so they are near by if I am playing heal bot. I have it so my holy spells disappear when I go into shadow form and reappear when out, also have shackle undead appear when targeting a undead mob/player. Still lots to do dont, have all my skills in place and still have some conditional buttons to create but it is leaps and bounds over what I had before.
