In World of Warcraft - If a human paladin player from the Alliance was to venture off into the city of the Orcs, would orc players be able to attack the human paladin player becuase he is of a different faction; the faction being the Horde?

Hmm, this one is harder to answer than I imagined. I really couldn't find anything concrete to answer that question. From discussions I buzzed through, I'd say no. This is because of the possibility of a high-level Horde or Alliance member ripping their way through a starter area of the opposite faction...nasty griefing potential.

It does appear they want to designate certain areas for Faction-vs-Faction, basically enter and be prepared for attacks by players of the opposite faction.

I need to remind myself of this regularly.

NPC's of rival factions will be attacking players if they are not on their side when trying to enter certain areas. But that isn't want your asking. They haven't been very clear with the PvP stuff like Liro said though.

A friend of mine suggested that you may be able to activate a pvp tag to your name or something, indicating, and allowing you to pvp with other players in other areas/realms.

Actually I think all the PvP stuff is still to be decided during the Beta
