Forget new patches- when is the next phase! Actually this is the one I've been looking forward to, just to compare CH to Hunter really.

Hunters

The Hunter Class is now available to test! Hunters track, tame, and slay all manner of animals and beasts found in the wild. Whether they rely on bows or firearms, Hunters consider their weapons and pets to be their only true friends. Races allowed to become Hunters are the Night Elf, Dwarf, Orc, Tauren, and Troll.

Hunters are great for pulling monsters as they are able to set traps that hinder monsters that the Hunters pull to attack. Hunters are also able to use various beast-related special abilities, take on bestial traits that agive them supernatural powers, control and tame beasts, and use a wide variety of ranged attacks complimented by a few melee abilities.

Hunters are closely related to their pets and must remember to always keep their pet's happiness in mind. When using a pet, Hunters will notice an icon in the top left corner of their screen that depicts their pet's happiness. The more Hunters use their pets, the lower their pet's level of happiness will become. Hunters should always remember to feed their pets to raise their pet's level of happiness or worry about their pet abandoning them or even attacking the Hunter! Hunters are also the only class able to name their pets.

The Hunter can use the following weapons: Axes, Daggers, Guns or Bows, Crossbows (with training), Fist Weapons (with training), Spears (with training), Staves (with training), Swords (with training), Thrown (with training), Two-Handed Axes (with training), Two-Handed Swords (with training). The Hunter can use the following armor: Cloth, Leather, Shields, and Mail (at level 40, with training).

I wasn't able to play the hunter class alot due to a bug where every creature on the beta server suddenly went POOF (lol), but I did manage to play a little bit. I checked this morning, and I'm pretty sure that the problem was fixed.

This share quest feature is looks really nice; I can't wait to try it out.

Here's two screenshots of the new zeppelin that was added that brings you to the other continent:

I departed from the Undead undercity, and went to the nearby Zeppelin station of the orc sity, Ogrimmarr.

Hunters get the taming ability at level 10, and also all class talents were moved up to level 10 as well. I will definitely post some more screenshots once I get the taming ability. Since the class just came out yesterday, I can't really answer alot of questions.

I don't know when the next phase is, sorry, hehe.

Hey Acritus. What's your persepctive on the game?

Except for the cartoonish gnomes, the look of it is beginning to grow on meThough Blizzard makes great games, they have never been known for good graphics.

What does the game feel like? Is it hack n' slash with some RPG elements? Does it have a Diablo2 feel to it? Are the items decent. I know hte crafting sounds simple and straight-forward, but is there a random element to it where items can be better or worse, or do you always know what to expect?

Well Arindel, Blizzard has always been known for, "Their type of graphics". Blizzard holds more of a cartoonyish type feel to their games.. I suppose its just something you either like or you don't like. (And don't forget that the graphics in WoW haven't been polished yet, so they will get alot better....and I may not have all the highest settings turned up either.)

Acritus, I had no idea you got accepted into the Beta. Congrats! How long have you've been playing?

I have a 26 undead mage on the pvp server, but I don't play him anymore really because I started my hunter character on the beta server.

PVP Server: Veryiton
Beta Server: Salyas

If you play on the beta server you can contact me on Salyas. I'm only a level 6 female night elf hunter at the moment.

If you don't want to play on the beta server, then I could help you do a few quests with my pvp character if you need some help.

What are your main characters Acritus, and their levels?

True abut their graphics (and I typically love some of their products...played D2 for close to 2 years).

But they have traditionally, been way behind on resolution on their graphics...like D2 went up to 800x600 and maybe 1024x768 eventually? But nothing better.

Great games, good balance and fun action make up for some grpahical limitations. All that being said, I am hungry to see WoW in action.

hehe, if graphics is the only thing for them to worry about, then that will be easy for them to upgrade..

I think this game will truly be a big success. And This game definitely WON'T be released come this November...I'd say more like this December....like Christmas, or perhaps sometime in Jannuary. Theres still alot of bugs to work out, and ALOT of balancing....and you know blizzard...they balance and balance and balance and balance everything over and over and over, until its almost perfect, lol. :P
