Orc Warlock

I'm seriously thinking about playing an Undead Warlock when the game comes out.

I've managed to narrow my choices down to the following: Holy Human Paladin or Demonic Undead Warlock.

Both choices sound nice, so I'll have to play out Warlock now to see how much I like it. The fact that I'll get to summon an infernal, just makes my body tingle!

p.s...but see you know...having an Orc Warrior with a really HUGE badass axe would be just so awesome!....

Allthough if I were an undead warlock....:

Undead
Quote:
Will of the Forsaken: Activate to become immune to fear, sleep, and charm effects

Cannibalize: Increase health regeneration while consuming a corpse

Underwater Breathing: Underwater breath increased

Shadow Resistance: Increase Shadow Resistance

I can't decide.....Humsan Paladin, Undead Warlock, or Orc Warrior.....

I played an Undead Warlock and it was fun as hell... but I really enjoyed my Dwarf Paladin too... why not play both Locke? Or all 3?

No kiddin! I'm loving MCS about now even though it'll probably mean I level chars a little more slowly.

Absolutely agree with that. I went in the ST/OB to try as many characters as possible, and i guess I have, but still not any closer to deciding on a main.

My human paladin is level 14 now, but I'm only playing him to see as much of the WOW world as possible before the end of the OB. He's kinda boring but still funner than I would have guessed.

Also, I would have never thought playing a Gnome would be any fun, but my Gnome Rouge, Splinter, is a ball.

BTW, is it polite to jump over a Gnome. People do it to me all the time.

The burden of politeness rests on you, oh noble gnome.

The fact will always remain that you are much shorter than most and therefore, many will attempt, and likely succeed in, jumping over you. It most likely is not meant to be rude but in today's rush-rush world, time if of the essence. Since it's faster and easier to simply jump over you rather than go around, get used to it. You should, however, resist the natural urge to look up. Since some choose to not wear underclothes with a skirt or kilt or other potentially revealing armor or clothing, by looking up you could create a highly embarrassing situation for yourself as well as the jumper. By exercising this little bit of restraint, you can show yourself to truly be the bigger person.

Wait until they introduce the spike-point hat. My cousin has a pattent on a great design...never mess with a race of engineers.

Then they won't think it's so much fun to jump over us :P

Maybe I will play all three....but probably the human paladin first, since Avian will be an alliance guild first right?....and then form a horde group later on?

Believe so. Still remains to be seen.

Ok so after reading about how much the summon infernal spell blows ass, and how bad it's kind of fooked up.....I'm slowly drifting away from that....hehe...read the warlock forums...warlock's apparently needs some changes...

Warlock's got the shaft...the shaft being, blizzard hyped up (either directly or indirectly) the idea that warlocks would have this badass pet when they hit the extreme levels.

that extreme pet is in, but the pros of summoning it are blown away by the cons.

Keep in mind, Locke that you're reading the rantings of the free-time laden looneys of the world.

It seems many of these posts come from people who fly off the handle once they discover something doesn't work the way they think it should. In most cases, these are a part of the loud-mouthed minority wanting things to be their way. Just because these ass-hats are screaming about something does not mean its broken.

Further, if something really is broken, I for one have complete confidence Blizzard can, and will, fix it.

Agreed!

Plus, isn't this a beta? Aren't they still balancing the game?

Blizz will fix things if they are really broken, I'm confident.

Well, anywho, I'm still torn betwene Human Paladin, Undead Warlock, and Orc Warrior. With this being the case, I've decided to play all three characters. Which one I play first will require some thinking. I have approx two weeks to decide, so I should be able to make a decision by then. I hope.

Paladins just got some love and supposedly now they can hold some agro. It's a must that they do as my tiny gnome ass gets chewed up by a boss in about 4 hits.

I'm actually even more excited about warlock now that people say it's broken. First of all I really like it at lower levels and if it's broken like they say, fewer people will play one from the start and they will be fixed.

My brother had a comment...

Quote:
yes, I know what your friend is talking about

the problem is: they gave the false impression that the infernal was going to be a perm pet. if it was never going to be this they should have said something. that's my point, and other people's points. I'm not a disallusioned part of the masses. I've witnessed first hand almost every mmog release. I know the reality, I know what devs do and do not do. I know the mistakes they're going to make, and which ones they're going to fix. It's a sad state of affairs that people who make mmogs have learned so little. fortunately blizzard seems to have put a bit more fun in their product.

Inspired by goatse. If you don't know, don't ask. Please. And I got that from another forum. But it is an asshat.

Code:
ass·hat
   n.
   Eng. slang
   1)  a person who believes himself to be of average or greater than average intelligence but proves the complete opposite as soon as he communicates in any form; typically shares his opinion with anyone, despite their total lack of interest

**EDIT** Oohhh...gotta say, I'm impressed with Cetera's much more succinct definition - or rather his courage in posting it!

I will have a horde character eventually (likely an undead priest) but I am starting out with 2 alliance characters. There is too much content to not have characters on both sides. I would recommend you start with an alliance character and plan on a horde character for when the rush dies down in a few weeks.

-Yeah, that sounds like a plan.

Don't forget, you can still venture into the Horde territories and do quests, even if you're alliance. I just don't know how many will be available, or if the people in cities will be hostile, or neutral.

I plan on trying the newbie quests and as many other quests as possible. Unfortunately or fortunately that means I can solo a lot of the content in the second middle area I get to. It also means I am often times the alpha when it comes to skinning/harvesting in that area.

We want you on the good side so you are around to sign the guild petition. Just remember to start all the characters on day one so when you do play them you get a super fast start for the first several levels.

Yeah, I'll get my orc warrior to level 8 or 10, then leave him be until more people play horde.

My goal in WoW, is to become the most powerful Paladin in the Warcraft Universe.

I will roleplay him not to speak very much. I want him to be one of those kick ass LT. Spears from Band of Brothers, awesome hero, silent types.....though being silent may be hard....for me at least....hehe
