| Post subject: | COSMOS or CTMod? |
Being new to WoW I have little experience with the UI mods that are available. However, it seems CTMod and COSMOS are the two most popular ones and there and there seem to be good arguments for either. I noticed several fellow Avians praising COSMOS. So is this the UIMod of choice? To me it seemed intimidatingly powerful and complex, while CTMod is a lot simpler and easier to use. Is there a good introduction to COSMOS somewhere out there that helps me set this thing up (or even help me find out if it is the right thing for me)? Thanks, Edgrim |

Good question, I know almost nothing about CTMod and would like to learn more. Things I know about Cosmos: -Has a lot of features, but you can turn the ones you do not like off. -Has an options page where you can see every option. Between tool tips + trial & error, it is not terribly hard to understand what most things do. -If turned on, a feature of cosmos will send WOW info to Thottbot to populate that database. I am extremely happy with Cosmos so far. I do get an error every now and then. But I just close the error window and keep on playing. I will try to write up a more detailed listing of the features I like, and the settings I use. Right now I am at my fathers and do not have access to Cosmos and the features I have set up. |
