Calling all Avian Priests:

I am playing a level 15 Priest; I am getting to the point where I want to start fine-tuning strategy tactics, and talent choices. So far everything has bee straight forward, but now that enemies are harder, and use better group tactics against my team, it is time to play my roll and not just a spell caster.

What healing skills are must haves? I find myself using my lesser heals all the time, but I can not figure out the purpose or place for using the Renew spells.

What talents are must haves? I am playing as a healer, and I could care less about the shadow tree. The Holy tree has lots of things that seem OK, same with the other tree, but nothing jumps out as a talent to look forward to. In your opinion what talents are important to get?

The renew spells are the most efficient mana wise and cause the least agro on you. The next best is flash heal. The full heal spells will always bring the mob to you unless you cast if very late. If you do this though and the spell takes 3-3.5 seconds to cast you could lose the guy you are protecting. I cast shield and renew on my team alot followed my flash heal, and lastly heal if I really missed something or one guy has about 3 agro.

I put my talents so far in shadow word pain improvement (another mana efficient non agro causing killer you should have up on as many targetss as possible all the time)and the one that prevents stuns, roots, etc but more because it leads to improved shield and fortitude.

Remember the priest caster differs from the mage in that he has more spirit and less int. You want to cast in bursts then wait as long as possible before casting again because you can rebuild a lot of mana during a fight. A wand and good melee weapon is a must because of this.

We actually don't have too many Priests I believe.

We have at least 3 or 4 priests, I havent figured out where I am going with Dara's talent yet I have some in holy and some in shadow
