http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... post815386 Quote: I tell you what... it's a good thing these forums are here, or I would be entertaining the illusion that I enjoy this game. Boy, am I glad I have you guys to correct me on that issue. If it weren't for the people on these boards, I would never know that there are huge, game-breaking flaws with the game that should outrage me and cause me to spout off in violent tirades against the board moderators. I might be so foolish as to think that the game is fun. I would most certainly be unaware of my horrific class shortcomings, my pending disappointment with the end game, and the overpowering abilities of all classes save mine.
Last evening I joined my brother (who plays a 24 druid) for some adventuring in Shadowfang Keep. I had a quest to complete that involved a drop from there, and neither of us had been there before. After working our way through several rooms of level 20ish elite mobs, we came to a jail area, where three elites and a named elite awaited us. My brother managed to put one of them to sleep, my voidwalker tanked the named, I chain feared another one away, and my brother offtanked the last in bear form. When we had finally cleared the mobs, I had less than 20% of my health left, no mana, and my brother had less than 10% health. Now, at the time, I was exhilerated and believed to be enjoying myself quite a lot. It was only after visiting these boards that I realized that I was mistaken in my evaluation of my emotional state. As it turns out, what I was actually feeling was a tinge of jealousy over the fact that a 28 paladin and a 24 mage could have done it easier. Were it not for these boards, I would have simply gone on my merry way, oblivious to the horrors that are Blizzard's customer support, naming policy, class balance, PvP issues, patch methods, game vision, and billing processes. So, to the entire active message board community, I give you my thanks. This greed-fueled, shortsighted, poorly-executed, overpriced, badly-supported, imbalanced, worthless piece of crap we call World of Warcraft MIGHT have continued on in my mind as the best game I've ever played... ...but thanks to you, that's fixed now. |

LOL... so true! And my personal opinion about the "End-Game" thing is that it will come in time, and that really, once you reach 60, you can even consider that the end. Go PvP... run around and kill whatever you want... OR, you could start a new character and get them up to 60 to explore all the other classes and races and quests and areas that you did not do before. |
