I currently run Cosmos and I dont think I have any extras beyond the what comes stock in it.

Can I still add other UI stuff in addition to Cosmos stuff? Im looking at FlexBar, Combat Sounds, Stun Watch and a few others that I would like to add.

Yes you can run Cosmos and other addons.

You can do it one of two ways.

1) In the cosmos.exe config window, uncheck the "Keep interface directory clean" box. This will keep cosmos form removing your new mods.

2) Or in the cosmos.exe config window, check the "Keep interface directory clean" box. This will allow cosmos to remove its old files that get outdated and removed form time to time. This will also delete your non-cosmos mods. To keep cosmos form removing them you need to add a file into your WOW/interface/addon directory, name it exactly like the folder the addon creates and add .nopatch to the end of the name.

I use method #2 because it allows cosmos to work its own issues out, while preserving the non-cosmos mods I love. I use folders for my .nopatch files because I like them to be grouped with the mod folder. However you can use a text file or whatever as long as you change it to .nopatch.

If you register with curse gaming http://www.curse-gaming.com/mod.php you can save the mods you like as favorites. Then the website will let you know when new versions of the mods you use are released so you can install the newer version.

Here is a list of the mods I use.

There are some others that are not listed, 1) because I just started using them and I don’t know if I will keep them, 2) because they are function libraries that my other mods use. I don’t keep those in my favorites, but I must keep them and protect them with .nopatch files if cosmos does not use them or else my mods will now work without them.

I highly recommend:
flexbar - unending button possibilities
atlas - instance maps, may be part of cosmos now
auctioneer - stats on all items and what they go far on the AH
auctionit - Remembers auction prices so you don’t have to fill in the $ each time. Also opens all bags when at bank, AH, Mail, vendor.
Enhanced tradeskill window - lets you know what you can craft
gatherer - tracks resource location on big map and mini map
Smacktalk - RP trash talk when you crit

cool, Ive been looking for some combat mods lately for my Rogue and Ive found:
Stun Watch;
Rogue Logic;
Rogue Spam (turns off system spam);
Autobuff;

and a few others. I plan on cleaning up my UI today with FlexBar so that my combat options only show up when I want them to and adding bandage macros and such.

Im having an issue with .nopatch.

I added this and when I reloaded WoW none of my newly added mods work. I currently have "Keep Interface Clean" Checked.

------

EDIT: OIC I need two folders one standard and one dup with .nopatch. Got it now.

Thanks for the tip on CG Cyrus :)
About Cosmos, I notice a HUGE fps improvement when I started using CTmod instead...

Yep that is my goal as well. My hope is to drop Cosmos all together. Right now Im getting all my secondary and class based mods in order then Ill get Flexbar and InfoBar and drop Cosmos completely.

Hmmm I'd love a FPS increase.... I didn't miss Cosmos too much when it was not updated. I'll see if I can live without it now.

Ive collected a nice bunch of mods that do pretty much everything I had cosmos do. I'm giving them a run now and Ill post a list once I see if not bugs pop.

There are tons of 'collections' you can dload but I find it much more fun to piece just the ones I want together.

Im looking through a few Flight Path Mods and they all pretty much do the same thing. One thing I am not finding is one where you can view the path while not at a Gyphon Master.

I want to be able to open a window and see if I am near an new flight paths. So far I have not found one that can do that. If you see one can someone post the name of the Mod.

Add Questtracker and Quickloot to your lists as well.

I dumped Cosmos and I haven't missed it one bit.

Dhask-FlightMap-v53-1300 is what I use. http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/f ... hp?id=3897

Once you visit a griff, AND VIEW HIS PATHS, it will store those paths and draw the paths on your continent map when you mouse. It also has the benefit of showing level range when you mouse over a zone. I turn off all the time and price features; I just want to see the lines on my map. And it does draw the lines on your continent map, even though the pic they provide does not. However it only draws them when you mouse over, and have opened the griff window in the past.

There is one other mod that draws the lines at the griff master, and the other mods do not draw paths, they just make list. I want to see lines and that is why I use this mod.

Here is another thing I have used more than this griff mod.

Save those two files to you HD. Then view them with something simple like MS Photo Editor, where you can zoom in crazy close with the mouse scroll button. This has all the flight paths. Blizzard has been adding filght nodes, so if you see a new node in the pathc notes, just DL the files again. 60% of the time I play, one of those maps is loaded in the background so I can alt+tab to it.
