I didn't want to muddy up the Discord thread by posting my screenies so I figured I would start a new thread to post your HUDs. Here is my Rogue display. I also have Floating boxed the pop then my health is low (bandages and potions) and Energy is low (thistle tea). I went from a standard HUD to this so it is a huge change. I can actually SEE the game now! No Target: ![]() Stealth: ![]() Enemy Target ![]() Combo Points: ![]() |

For many months I played the game with normal row/column button arrangements. A few weeks ago I changed all that and started to place my combat skills closer to the battle, yet out of the way. I wanted to make it to where I did not have to take my eyes off the mob when I went to use a skill. I would also like to mention that the combo creating buttons, and finishing moves are mapped to my Nostromo n52. I did not have my Warlock setup pics ready. When I post them you will see more utility features. These features also exist on my rogue layout, but my rogue is low level, and does not have all the skills yet. So what you see my basic layout for Danyale. When I show you my Warlock setup, those utility features will also apply to my rouge even though they are not in the pics below. Out of combat: Only the combat related skills shown that may be used without a target. ![]() Attack Bar, all possible buttons shown: Shows all possible slots for skills. Many configurations possible. ![]() Attack layout: Danyale's current attack layout. Gaps are for abilities she does not have yet, but soon will. Combo creating moves are on top left, misc combat moves are on right and lower sections. Health, bandage, thistle tea buttons were not shown, but they appear in the lower right sections when needed. No combo points in this pic: ![]() Attack layout with combo points: Danyale's current attack Layout. 4 Combo points shown. Finishing move buttons grow in size, and display current combo point total on the button. In the pic is shows zero because I cheated with macro in order to take the pic. Also combo point totals are echoed to top center of the screen where the game normally echo game text. ![]() Stealth abilities: These moves appear and disappear when my stealth state toggles. They are positioned to be right next to the prey, so that a moving target does not get out of range when attempting to pull off a stealth move. ![]() Stealth abilities: These buttons and really all combat buttons shade themselves when the target is out of range. As you get within range, these buttons reveal their normal colors. ![]() Misc bars closed: Here Danyale keeps her poisons, profession, and other frequently used crafting type abilities. When clicked these buttons toggle open abilities. ![]() Misc bars partially opened: Only poisons menu open. ![]() Misc bars all open: Both poisons menu and profession menu open. ![]() Full Screen: I think this pic sucks, Danyale is no where as picky about her UI and I am. Therefore she has some stuff in this pic that I can not stand. But I show this pic anyway because it puts all the flexbar stuff in relation to each other. Click here for full screen pic |

those are excellent layouts Cyrus. I love your placement for the rogue stealth stuff. I may emulate some of your stuff. What resolution do you play at? On you poisons and professions are those single buttons hotkeys that swap to the full layout when clicked? If so that is a great idea. I have mine at roll overs but Im not happy with that. |

Man, those are awesome. What mods is everyone using to do that, and where did you get the instructions on how to make it all work? |

Pressing this button hides/shows the group around it. Cetera wrote: Man, those are awesome. What mods is everyone using
to do that, and where did you get the instructions on how to make it all work? I have so many mods. However most of mine have nothing to do with combat. What you see in my pic is flexbar. I used flexbar when it first came out several months ago. Through time they have added to it and I have tried to lean as it grew. I learn from the flexbar forums, and from practice. I have been working on organizing and cleaning up my config so that others can import it when I post my guide. I have managed to replicate SmackTalk with flexbar, and then expand its capabilities to talk a random list of specific sayings dependant on the category that triggered them. i.e. I may randomly cry for help when attacked, Warlock imps argue with their owners, so I boss him around and provoke him randomly, randomly talk different kinds of trash talk linked to when I use various spells, numerous elaborate RP greetings using variables such as class, race, zone, gender, subzone, time and more. Now I need to implement this to all my alts. |

This is Cyrus's (Warlock) UI. I got the basic idea from another warlock on the flexbar forums. This is the UI that changed my way of thinking to where I now want my buttons positioned closer to the battle. Full Screen All combat buttons open: This is just a pic to show everything. In battle these buttons fade out or hide based on what is going on in the battle. Rarely will all these buttons be shown at the same time. For example buttons to the lowest left and right only appear when I am targeting the appropriate type of creature. I.e. demon or elemental. The following pics you will see man other buttons which buttons fade and hide depending on the battle conditions. ![]() Attack: Notice the pet attack button has vanished. This button only shows up when my pet is not fighting. This was a late addon. Once I had all my buttons close to the battle, I did not like having to reach down to my pet bar to get my pet fighting. Being that a warlock is all about DOT, timing is important, and I did not like the time I lost when looking for the pet bar. ![]() Curses: Only one curse can be applied at a time. Therefore I only wanted to see my curses when they could be applied to the target. However in battle sometimes you want to switch curses before the original one runs out. Therefore these buttons do not hide, they just fade. that way I can still see htem if I want, and I can click on a faded button to cast it. Also you will notice that the cures that is currently applied is faded less than the rest. This way I can always know what cures is applied even when I forget. ![]() Main DOTs: Immolate and Corruption are my main DOTs. I use them almost all the time, so I wanted them to stand out when not applied, and I wanted them to fade when applied. In the pic below you will see that both of these buttons are faded. ![]() Sidebar: This is my sidebar. In the past I worked with sidebars that appear only when needed. I.e. healing items only visible when my health is low. However over the months I have found that setup to be more trouble than help. My side bar has the items locked into place. When an item is out the button fades, but the item pic remains. Any time I get a new item of that type in my inventory, the button appears with no fade, and the time is linked to the right button. This way I never forget to put a potion or bandage on my bar, they put themselves there when they are in stock. Notice now the green health stone is now at full color. Earlier I was out and as soon as I made a new stone it appeared on the correct button. ![]() ![]() Sayings when taking damage: When I start to take damage, I have the chance to say the following random sayings. These are just to give you an idea, I have many more sayings than you see here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sayings when draining a soul: When I cast a spell that drains a targets soul, I have a chance to say the following sayings, and many more. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sayings when casting a basic attack spell: When I cast a basic attack spell, I have a chance to randomly say things like in the pics below. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sayings when I give my pet a command: The following are sayings I may randomly say when I give my pet an order. ![]() ![]() Sayings Menu: I love this thing. My typing is crap in-game, but I don’t want to mess up my sayings. Therefore I have several sayings programmed. I just open the menu with the press of the button to the left of my clock. A few weeks back the button to the right was to close the menu, however now I figured out how to toggle the menu, so I plan on reassigning the button tthe right of the clock. ![]() The button to the far right is my general greetings button. It says greetings to people I do not really know, or not familiar with. The button next to that is my Avian greetings button. It says very familiar things one would say to a clsoe friend. ![]() Greetings: By pressing one button in my sayings menu, I can randomly say many things. For example if I click on my greetings button, the following text sayings will be executed. BTW I see that in the first pic, I need to change the class variable from targeting me to targeting my target. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sayings related to pulling: The first red button to the right of my clock is my pull button. It had variables to say the name and level of the target so that a group can make sure they are attacking the right target. I have a second pull button the second red right of the clock. I did not take a pic of this, but it starts a text count down for timing a group attack correctly. ![]() ![]() There are also other menus that are not shown. They are my menus where I have placed flexbar command macros like hide/show all buttons, hide/show all button numbers. Basically they are boring menus that help me design flexbar UIs with more ease. |

is sayings menu something you made with flexbar or a mod? They are very cool either way. Now that I have wet my pallet for UI Mods with Discord I may step up to Flexbar for some real fun. |

I don't know... those don't seem realistic. I remembered the one time I borrowed Danyale's character in SWG, I was getting a lot more whistles and "Hey baby"s... I think I even made Rom blush once or twice. You gotta put an (if name == Danyale) {talk(dirty);} in there. |

The menu UI is 100% flexbar. The conditions which fire various sayings are also flexbar. The random sayings are stored in a mod called SpeakEasy. The variables used to customize some sayings to the target are from a mod called ChatAlias. Clicking the right button triggers a macro (I use Flex Macros so that I do not waste WoW default Macro space) which basically is nothing more than command line text for Speakeasy. ie /SESay catagory="AvianGreeting" Chance=100 |

I tried flexbar but soon opted out of it because I move my character with the mouse. Clicking on a button is therefore most often out of the equation, I must access everything about combat via the keyboard. And I'm not confifent enough to use it blindly without the buttons showing up. To note, the screenshot I published is during a raid encounter, while fighting, and there is some redundant information now and then. (Buffs, for exemple, and target HPs) But this is critical information I need to be able to check easily whatever part of the screen I might be looking at. |

I also generally drive with the mouse, and hit my keyboard buttons to do my attacks. However, I'm very, very interested in learning how to manipulate the UI anyway. I don't think I'll move my buttons up to the middle of the screen, but the hiding and toggling of buttons seems really awesome, and the sayings things are cool too. |
