Does anyone have any advice on how to use the talent points for a frost mage?? I am thinking about doing a frost or arcane mage. Anyone here play those if so do you have any tips for me...

I'll post my talents when I get back online.

Frost Mage is great for solo and group play . Fire Mage damage is a beautiful sight to behold, but a frost mage can help keep it all together

Thats what I have been told. We have a fire mage in our group now so I am going to change over to a frost mage.

Improved Frostbolt - rank 5/5
Ice Shards - rank 5/5
Winter's Chill - rank 1/3
Improved Frost Nova - rank 2/2
Cold Snap - rank 1/1
Improved Blizzard - rank 1/3
Arctic Reach - rank 2/2
Frost Channeling - rank 3/3
Shatter - rank 4/5
Ice Block - rank 1/1
Improved Cone of Cold - rank 3/3
Frostbite - rank 5/5
Ice Barrier - rank 1/1

One's in Bold should be definites. Everything esle you can consider preference. Let me know if you want to discuss the benefits of any of the above talents.

There's lots of give for the arcane spells. i like clearcasting, but it won't be needed in the PvP environment as much. And it only helps those times you are in a jam. Having a good supply of mana potions could do the same thing (though this could be in addition to that and it does net you a full bar or near full bar of mana).

Still, I think it would be better to get Instant Arcane Explosion.

Yes, instant AE is VITAL to any mage. Vital. You cant get rid of it, it helps in both PvE and PvP so no reason to let it off.
