Got my copy of WoW, but not gonna start my account until i get back from xmas vacation. What server are you guys on so i can set up my account. can u have more than one character on different servers and such? also what characters and such do i start out with. I dont know 1 eye oda about wow. pls help a noob

We could also take some more Priests. Other than that, we are set for Mages, Have an over abundance of hunters, and a couple of Pallys. Pick your Race however you please. For Alliance you have Gnomes, Night Elf, Humans and Dwarves. The Races all have different racial abilities and in some cases ( like being a Priest) your Race determines your spell choices.

Above all, play what you think will be fun.




The Learning curve of this game is about 20 minutes. (If that) It's very easy to get accustomed to and you should have no problems. When you get online, do a "/who avian" and let someone know you are logged in. Any of the honor guard can invite you to the guild as well as the PGs and the WM.

Yep, most has already been mentioned. Do a /who avian to find who's online. Krynn can also invite on Dalaran but I haven't been playing there much (waiting to high end instance with Avians).

I spend most of my time on Maelstrom lately. Send a whisper to Kymira, Krynyr, or Krynger and you'll find me easy enough for an invite there.

If this game is anything it is easy to jump into. I remember when I first started I made a Night Elf and was up and running with few problems. On Dalaran there is always someone on to answer your questions.

As for Class. Warriors are fun but they rely on their gear so they can be expensive. Priests make it extremely easy to get into groups but soloing kinda sucks. Mages/warlocks are great for damage. Rogues are a ton of fun but you die a TON until about lvl 20 when you can pretty much solo the game with few exceptions.

what I like about rogues is that they can stealth around and have may escape moves when things get bad. In the end, with 8 toons per server it is easy to just remake someone. getting to lvl 12 takes about 3-6 hours and by then you have a good feel for the class so try them out.

Once you delete a toon that name comes available almost instantly.

hehe, you forgot hunters Moge - the best class in the game! Though I must say priest and warlock are more fun than I have ever imagined. Then again it could be the undead/troll coolness that factor into my liking my Mael toons.

What it boils down to is that there is just about any class for any style of play, and you can get into each (as you mention) very quickly to see if you like it or not.

Latrick - think you could hurry it up and hit 55. We need another warrior up there.

I hit level 6 last night before I logged out in an inn (to get that 200% xp bonus thing).... I love the stealth thing of the rogues....

I could be tempted to get my mage or priest going again. I've also thought about trying a druid. Alliance races are starting to bore me tho hehe.

if you go to filefront, they have the 'release to 1.8' patch. i dunno why the downloader wouldnt just get that one for you, it has for me.

but yea, after almost every large content patch, they release a all-in-one patch. i try to keep that one on a CD because of all the reinstalls i have to do for jenn.

Why so many? Please explain?

I am tempted to roll up a druid tonight just to see how they play. We could get a static group going with me, Sel, and Latrick. Druid, rogue, warrior combo would do some serious damage out in the world.

I have a lvl 8 druid...they are great for picking up whatever is needed in a group(healing,damage) and that can change even in a group situation...

they are easily the most versatile class in the game IMHO but I've also heard it said they can be the hardest to play because of that....

WTF do I know I was probably drunk when I heard that.....anyway

kk, got a character made in Dalaran. A night elf druid named Erime. Also got a character in Bloodscalp, an undead warrior also name Erime. Seems like a cool game so far.

What happened to waiting for Christmas? hehe

I made my new NE druid last night and got him to lvl 6 very quickly (1-1.5 hrs). Still waiting to get to 10ish to get animal form to decide if I like the class or not.

If we decide to get a static group with all these lower level toons (me, Erime, Sel, Latru, etc.) I would be more than willing to create something else to ensure we have a balanced group going.

Hehe, its kinda a sad but funny ending story really. See we had some family coming over for thanksgiving from out of town. We had all the stuff bought and ready this weekend when a couple days later they called and cancelled at the last minute. Me and my wife were really dissappointed. I have 5 days off with no one coming and for her it was her family that was coming to see her. To make us feel better, I let her go do some early xmas shopping at the mall on her own while she let me install my WoW to spend my time off playing it. I gotta put the disks back in the box so she can wrap it up for xmas and ill pretend im suprised for the pictures lol

It was great seeing some old friends again and meeting new ones. I got reunited with my ol' pal Sel again! Thanks for the stuff yesterday buddy. I spent the day doing the noobie quests and getting Erime up to lvl 6 and just learning the game. Being thanksgiving I also spent alot of time afk to eat more turkey and pie hehe Ive got some freinds following me here from SWG so hopefully we will add some great players to our ranks. Im hoping Mirabel will come back and join us. She said she is interested and will probably come join us in WoW. That would be sweet
