I was on this morning, and I just tested it again after reading this post. I have no problems viewing it. |

yeah I can now get onto the site but the account management part is still 503. Read on the tech support boards that lots of others are having this issue as well. Guess I just have to wait it out. |

Apparently they are having some issues with their internet provider.... Quote: We'd like to make all players aware that at this time our Internet service provider is experiencing significant complications, and as a result the playability on a large portion of realms has been adversely affected. Symptoms include but are not limited to lag, random disconnections and slow authentication. Our network technicians are doing everything in their power to work with our ISP so that this issue may be resolved as swiftly as possible.

well this seems to be a pattern with me. Whenever I try and log in the site is down or the server is jacked. took forever to get past the login screen now Im stuck in gathering character list. Blizzard needs to get their shit in order. I can only play 1 or 2 days a week and having had issues both days just ticks me off. |

I'm just about done with Dalaran. I can't take the 20-45 minute log in times, mail not working from lag, disconnects etc. Too much frustration for a game. |

You realize that we just had a massive patch... and all servers are probably like that right now? |

No, no, its just Dalaran. Maelstrom doesn't have it, Twisting Nether doesn't have it, and I play on both regularly. I think I'm probably going to migrate my Dalaran characters somewhere else when given the opportunity, probably with the expansion. Dalaran is completely unplayable for me, my brother, my GF, etc. The only times I can successfully log in to it is at 6:00 am on a weekday, when no one else is on. Otherwise, its impossible to connect. If you can't play on Dalaran, there are lots of other nice servers that work really well. It sucks not spending as much time with Avian, but it is nice to actually be able to play the game you're paying for. |

Well, seeing as how I at most have to wait a few minutes to log in... Don't know what to tell you guys. Play wherever you want, but we will NOT be disbanding the guild and moving. This guild will not survive a server move with Blizzard's policies. Period. |

Only way would be if they move entire guilds and i don't tyink that's their policy (though, they would probabvly consider it as they react well to user input). Until they do that and we as a group make that decision...it's basically what Manitson said. Period included. ![]() |

I posted with a harsh tone up there. But the reasoning is this, unless we get a special Guild Transfer (which doesn't exist yet)... we would be destroyed in a regular server transfer. They are only for a few days... and our membership would not be able to all get on ... so we would lose folks in the change over. I would hate to think of doing that. I understand that alot of people have a hard time getting on Dalaran. I understand, and if it is that bad... I don't blame you for playing elsewhere. But don't delete any characters... things might improve in time. |

It's a shame they won't do guild transfers to new servers. I remember EQ2 doing that before. Seems like a sensible way to alleviate load on heavy servers. |

Oh, don't worry about me deleting any characters or anything. I won't. I also won't transfer them unless I don't have any other options. But as of right now, I can't get in to play them on Dalaran anyway, so you wouldn't be losing much more from me if I did decide to move. And I don't think we should even consider a guild move at this point. If they can fix Dalaran, it'd be nice to stay there. Until they do, I'll just play where I can get in. |

Just getting back from a day with the family and catching up on this. Basically, I say, "Ditto." My wait times are very short. Are you running any kind of firewall or traffic monitoring software? |

My wait times are very short too. After the servers went down the second time on patch day I had to wait.... but that is to be expected. I wonder why some guys report long wait times, yet I get in within minutes? |

I can get in instantly in the day time. Come evening, when everyone is loggin on, it will take about 5 min on a really really good day. Weekends til server reset, I'm looking at 20 minutes minimum to get on Dalaran. I can get on Staghlem just fine. On a sunday evening, I can typically start the log in to the character sheet, go eat dinner or a TV show and then I'll have an opportunity to sit at the loading to realm screen. I'm running a firewall, but that's ruled out by the performance and log in times of other servers. It could be a geographical variable. I'd be curious to where us long log in timers are compared to the short timers. |

got in tonight with no issues. Also they posted an update saying they knew of the problem and they are working on it. -- Didn't mean for this thread to even hint at moving servers. I was just venting ![]() |

It could be a geographical variable. I'd be curious to where us long log in timers are compared to the short timers. My GF and I are in Lakewood, CO on Comcast. My little brother is in Riverton, WY on Trib.com. I can get in at non-peak times, usually with little delay. During peak hours, though, its not even worth it to try to babysit the damn thing. When I can't get in to Dalaran, I can still get in instantly to Maelstrom or Twisting Nether. That would seem to me to eliminate it being a local software issue, as once you're through Blizzard's login portal, it should all be the same. A firewall or other software on my machine should affect all servers, not just Dalaran. I honestly have no idea what the issue is, but would suspect it is just massive amounts of traffic on Dalaran. The notice Blizzard has up is regarding the login server to log in to the game, not the realm servers. During peak times when I try to log in, it will take ~5min to authenticate, and another ~5min to handshake, etc, before I can get in. That's the problem they are aware of and working on. |

Yeah, might have to do with you playing on a east coast server. Dalaran used to give this Okie long wait times but for the past month or so I can usually get in during peak times in about 10 minutes. |
