OK - could someone explain (Mage) Dampen Magic, Amplify Magic, and Detect Magic. Maybe with 3 situational examples or something. I'm not sure how to use these three.

HAHA was talking about amplify magic last night in guild chat.....to me it sounds like an awesome spell to throw on a tank if there aren't spellcasters because it would increase healing by 30...even with spell casters damage taken is only increased by 15(from spells only).

The other 2 I cant remember offhand what they do, although I think detect magic might show a buff on an opponent, and dampen magic sounds like it would decrease spell damage taken in a fight.

Always use Dampen Magic if you dont have a healer with you, the debuff for the healings wont affect you.
Amplify magic is rarely usable though.
Note that these 2 spells are going to get changed in the next patch to use percentages and not fixed values.

Detect magic is used to see buffs on an enemy. While it's still cool to see what exactly the NPC buffs do, it takes all its sense in high end instances where the latter buffs need to be dispelled asap.
