Heya Hunters! What kind of a build do you use? I've been putting everything towards marksmanship, but I've held off on using my last 2 talent points because Im just not sure where I should be putting them.

The cookie cutter build for hunters is 5/31/15 , it's the most efficient for raiding. If you want to PvP more without sacrificing too much PvE, you can go for 0/30/21 or 0/21/30 (especially if you have a lot of agility).

If you prefer the way of the beast master, get at least Intimidation :)

This is my build. Lets my pet take a lot of damage. However, PvP seems to suffer with this build. What are the advantages of putting everything into marksmanship and survival? Any suggestions, been wanting to try a new build.

It's ok for PvE !
For PvP though, I'd move the 5 points of Endurance Training in Imp. AotMonkey, and the 2 other tier 2 points in Ferocity.

People rarely kill your pet, and when they do you're generally dead seconds after, after what you and your pet rez with full health at the spirit guy (in BGs at least), so my choice for PvP is to maximize pet's DPS. Imp AotMonkey will help you stay alive longer in melee.

My 2 cents...

AotM is wasted in PVP and is generally useless everywhere else IMHO.

AS a hunter, If you are at melee in Pvp, you are already dead.

If you're never meleeing in PvP as a hunter, your opponents sure suck...
But hey, good for you !

If I can't Avoid going to melee with someone(s), I'll run at the biggest baddest melee guy coming at me and Wing Clip him....

I do this so I may have a chance to get to range.

A hunter should avoid Melee. I just happen to be good it

I'm a firm believer in marksman. This is my build:

Cool info, I just started playing with a Hunter on Maelstrom. Was actually curious what you other hunters spend points on.

Krynn's build is very close to the cookie cutter build noted above. Never had any problems with PvE, nor the occassional PvP in BGs though I have not gone in there too much with her to know all the nuances of playing them with a hunter.
